Strange to think this was considered an upset at the time.
I was always amazed he considered himself world class and was always calling out the likes of JC, his whole career seemed based on his KO win over James Branch, he also had a good win over Sven Hamer but this does not justify a British title shot let alone a world title shot.
From what I saw he was Area Tiitle material
