FROCH: DUMP COMMONWEALTH & BATTER ROBIN REID

Why go over old ground with this Adamu fella?
How is that progress?
Fight Robin Reid, a British name who once held a world title, + the "12 hard rds with Calzaghe" tag.
Chin him, play up the angle, onwards & upwards. This is how boxing works isn't it?
Froch/Adamu II, and done for 2007? F#ck me, what a wasted year!!

I don't want to see Reid against Froch but has he really signed for a rematch against Adamu so he can keep hold of the commonwealth?? Surely he is above that now, what has Adamu done in the last few years if anything.
Don't go around calling out Calzaghe, Inkin, Bute and Kessler only to fight Adamu

But will he want the payday? if Warren is willing to pay double. We have to wonder what else is thrown in the pot for Froch. Any extra perks, promises for a title shot etc etc? Can BC enlighten us?
I just think he should force the whole WBO mandatory thing. His next foe should be Inkin in a poss WBO title box off.

It would be a waste of time fighting Reid now, ...surely they can get a better fight for him than that, Froch should be looking to fight top ten opposition and trying for a title fight not boasting about wanting to beat up fighters years past their best!...

this looks like a seduction to me.
let's not forget warren got cookie. i mean, wasn't warren the guy who used to say that cook will never be any good? i recall jim nealie saying something on the beeb, about a 'certain promoter' who came out with such comments.

Catley pulled out , Reid v Froch out for purse bids in June

Why did Catley pull out? I would have thought he was up for a Reid match, unless it's too soon on his Super Middleweight comeback trail.

Adamu would batter Reid - but i do feel that obviously the latter is the bigger draw.
I think perhaps this fight has been secured perhaps knowing full well it wont happen anyway.

froch is a good 3 months away from a comeback after ACL surgery and the graft taken from his ham-string.
in that time mich hennessy will sort out a better fight than the adamu one, thats for sure.

Absolutely Agree, I couldnt believe it when I heard he was going for Reid - However it seems Reid has badmouthed him so that appears to be the reason he is keen to have this fight - This Adamu thing has come right out of the blue so a statement from Hennesey or Froch is needed so we know whats going on - Neither Adamu or Reid are competetive enough so another fight is made with the result a foregone conclusion - Yep you cant call out the top names and then take on people who are either past their best or were never very good in the first place and thats the case here - Froch is a good crowd puller and if he wants to continue that way he will have to fight better opposition or suffer the padded record label - If he was to switch to Warren that would definately happen.

Stunned that Froch is taking this fight.
What a waste of time of a fight, especially at the age of 29.

I'm not stunned Froch Is mostly mouth unless he proves otherwise.

Of course hes all mouth, I dont think he is as good as he thinks he is - The low arm tactic just wont work at true world level - Froch says he will be fighting into his late thirties and he probably will if he takes on the likes of Reid and others making loads of money and spinning it out - Rushing thinks by fighting Kessler, Bute, Inkin or Mundine at the moment could be his downfall and I think it would be - Its an interesting point in Carls career - Will he go into the lions den or will he stop outside and make a good living until Joe retires and then fight for the vacant belt.

mite want an easy one after sergory but I'm dissapointed in this. Probably waiting for a better fight to come allong, at that level there are only 8 or so fighters worth making a fight with to go forward so if non of them are free I guess krrpinh budy isn't bad... dissapointing from someone who has previously fought good quality.

The Reid fight doesn't float my boat at all. Reid is a shadow of his former self and he's horrible to watch.
Froch is in a position where he can challenge for World titles, so a marking time fight (after an injury) against Adamu (or whoever) is not that bad IMO, as long as we don't end up with a handful of marking time fights.
I think Froch should take on Adamu on the SN show and use the terrestrial TV platform as a mouthpiece to call out Joe Calzaghe, plus call out JC in the newspapers, plus call out JC in the press conferences, plus callout JC in the post fight interview, wear a 'I'll Smoke Calzaghes Boots' T-shirt into the ring etcetra etcetra etcetra.
If he polishes off Adamu or whoever in impressive style and gets the public clambering for the fight then you just never know what might happen.

A better fight maybe, but a better payday and better exposure? Unlikely.
