Yeah, ther's no bigger game than boxing for cross-stitching.

You also have general fight magazines that would cover boxing in a section as well.

Do we need any more? I think BM is ok, let down is that we can only get one dose a month, while BN is excellently written and not afraid to speak the truth

Yes, and I'm sure there are general textiles mags which cover cross-stitching. I can't believe there's enough in that hobby to fill ONE magazine, let alone five!

Hmmm..thought they held back a bit when it came to the Enzo/Gunn farce - Claude blamed the WBO, and SN got NO critisism for dishing up such a horrible mismatch.

In the past, Harry Mullan would let Duff have both barrels when a mismatch was on the cards, and got banned from Duff shows for awhile as a result. Claude seems far too cautious in case that happens again - which is BAD news.

Classic Stitches is bi-monthly though and only has a circulation of 15,000 copies therefore should be ruled out!!

That's a higher circulation than either of the boxing mags, though, isn't it?

I honestly have no idea but would certainly hope not!

Boxing Monthly's website claims that

"The magazine's average UK readership is over 25,000 a month."

granted they could all read the same copy I suppose but I think they mean copies sold.

I might be wrong, but I think I heard somewhere BN does about 10,000 a week. Not sure about BM.

I used to buy BM, also The Ring and KO magazine, but with the coming of internet sites , you kind of get all the info you want from there.
Sometimes i'll buy BM if theirs a good interview i want to read, but its pretty rare these days.
I've not brought Ring magazine for years now, and i don't know if KO Mag is still going?

I buy BN and BM religiously because I still prefer print to internet as a format and in most cases print journalism is of a much better standard than internet (no offence to those web journos reading, of which I am one). Sure, you can news a lot faster online, but you can't beat those mags for analysis and reportage IMO.

Yes KO is still going but I haven't bought an American mag for a while. When their cover is a preview of a fight that happened last month, that really is too outdated.

Anyone remember Boxing Weekly? i've got a few of the first copies of that. Think it lasted about a year before the plug was pulled. (may have been longer).
Always thought it was a decent competitor to BN, but i guess it showed that there isn't enough interest in boxing to keep 2 weekly papers running.

boxing weekly was pulled not because of poor figures but because of its terrible title - or were they being ironic?

i have it on good authority that audley harrison subscribes to 3 of those cross stitch mags and is a whizz with a crochet needle.
