somtimes a change is as good as a rest im sure they havn,t fallan out eames is more than likley to have encouraged him to look else wear for a new trainer i think it would be hard for eames to train any fighter who took such a beating last time out

Graham is too barve for his own good. Johnny doesn't want to see a man hurt

gotta agree with the others posts... Eames is a genuine nice guy who cares about his fighters and boxing and not about cash... I guess it was a friendly split.
He is also one of the most honest guys in the game, if he thinks his man lost, he will say so...

That is a tongue in cheek comment right?

Eames has perhaps advised Graham to retire and doesnt want to see him carry on boxing... the worry here must be that Graham will hook up with a trainer who may not look after him as well as Eames did... Grahams condition worried me a bit even before the last fight started... he's got the look of someone who has had too many hard fights I'm afraid...

Johnny Eames is a very good trainer and if he did tell Graham to retire, Earl should have listened to him. Earl has been involved in some fantastic fights but how many more of those does he have left in him?

obviously not much. johnny eames has probably watched him in the gym and not liked what he has seen and, like the compassionate fella he is, advised earl to pack up before he puts himself in real danger.
hats off to john but earl is a warrior and will carry on until further evidence of his decline ie an early KO or two, threatens his licence.

If you are right what a shame. Graham Earl is a lovely fella and that hideous thing called male pride is getting in the way, it happens to all of us, problem is when it happens to a fighter then it can get dangerous.

I dont think Earl has had too many big paydays, maybe he still needs the money - He certainly didnt look the Graham of old from the first bell against Katsidas - He was brave and took one hell of a hammering but he did land some good ones of his own.
