An Inshape Danny has the skills to beat Virchis.

Virchis lost to Sprott clearly,but Sprott was robbed.

A prime Danny could outwork Virchis,but if this fight does happen,I predict a stoppage victory in favour of the Ukrainian.

Well In the 1st fight Vidoz didn't need to outwork Virchis he was just mostly out jabbing Virchus until he go Ko'ed.

I don't think Williams can stay away from Virchis for 12 rounds these days though.

I don't think Danny can stop Virchis,who is very tough,and it is'nt as if Danny has an iron chin is it?

Would love to see Williams win of course,but,personally,I think Virchis wins the fight if it happens.

Danny should just retire now anyway.

Virchis has a great chin but he hasn't fought too many punchers either. Danny hits harder than Vidoz and Sprott.

Nah Danny's chin Isn't Iron but It's solid.

I can agree on him leaving the game with a win, he did play with Gammer quite easily looking good.

I'd say go for it - nothing to loose everything to gain for danny and virchis is very beatable - but it appears the one thing Virchis can do is punch and if the plodding Sinan Samil Sam can catch and ko danny you'd think Virchis can do the same.

Virchis is seriously overated, Williams would need to be 100% focused at all times because he can punch (although that aspect is also overated).

Sprott beat him at a canter, but that was argueably Sprott's most focused performance. Even against Gammer, Williams had lapses where he would just let Scott hit him... with his punch resistance (always been very questionable IMO) he cannot afford to do that.

And Virchis for all his faults,is a much,MUCH tougher task than Gammer!

Oh yeah, well probably anyway. However, Virchis has SHOWN he is not much tougher task than Sprott and Danny should have been 3-0 against him (even an out of shape Danny in the third fight).

Its all very well to redicule Gammer, I am not a fan - but no-one has said before and even after the Williams fight that he couldn't be at all competive vs Sprott - and Sprott beat Virchis.

If Williams rips into the shape he was versus Gammer then he has a great chance, Virchis is pretty poor and he lost clearly to Sprott. I think it is a 50/50 affair.

Sprott is going through the best spell of his career at the moment,and is arguably better than he has ever been.
Where as Danny has declined since the Sprott fights.

Sprott boxed well against Virchis with his reasonably high work rate.
In recent years,Danny is'nt famed for his high workrate!
Even against Gammer,he took too many rests and took plenty of shots from the Welshman.

Williams could'nt afford to do that against Virchis,as he punches a lot harder.

Virchis is a very crude fighter who can beat almost anyone, although he is beatable...
virchis has one of the biggest punching power in the whole division and Vidoz was badly hurt in their 1st fight...Virchis can lose 11 rounds and score a 12th round KO like against Bidenko.
Tho i would say his skills have improved quite a lot and he could easily outpoint Vidoz in the rematch.
Williams hasnt exactly got a good defense, nor a good chin...Virchis would knock him out.

Ypu just never know with Willaims and he may be shot.

Sprott gave Virchis loads of trouble as he boxed and was mobile which isn't Danny's style.

Virchis is very strong and punches hard, even if he is a bit crude and slow - I would see Danny being stopped in 9.

Have any moves been made with this fight? Danny himself stated it was his target, but other that, what else makes it "rumoured"? Hopefully Danny will fight again this season, even if its only an eight rounder, because he needs to stay in shape. Let's hope his weight for Gammer wasn't "for one night only".
