Very good summing up from Derek Williams.

Williams is a better and more articulate writer than i imagined.

I dont know if i can really listen to Sweet D critique any fighters. Remember his TWO losses to the horrific (appearencewise & stylewise) Jean Chanet, or his strange refusal to throw leather v Mark Wills and Bert Cooper? His loss to Michael Murray and his sudden quit v, lord have mercy, Keith frickin Fletcher??!!

Derek would have beaten Audley though. Smokin Bert and Lennox swing much harder than Sprott.

good articel that and one i agree with, always liked Derek real nice bloke if you chat to him ringside as well.

Nice piece, he writes well for a heavyweight boxer!

Sums the situation up well, glad he has the same views on Haye as I do.

Couple of things, Danny has challenged for a World title, so fulfilled some of his potential. Skelton is still in a fairly good position to move onto an eliminator for a world title.

Also we may not have depth, but have had some entertaining fights (if not thew most skillful) involving the British heavies recently , Williams v Sprott 1+2, Williams v Skelton 1+2, Williams v Harrison 2.
Sprott v Skelton , Sprott v Harrison, Williams v Gammer.

Add David Haye into the mix as well, and we still have some good nights of boxing at heavy coming up, they may never reach a world title, but they give us our moneys worth i think.

Impressive quality of writing from the big man there - nice to get his thoughts on the domestic scene..
