No I'm not joking. Boxing's most deluded, Tarver, has seemingly gone off his head in the lead up to his fight with Kosovo Kid Muriqi this weekend.

Maybe they can throw Jermain Taylor into the mix. They could dub it 'Olympic Flops.'

Olympic flops is harsh, especially on taylor who's beaten Hopkins twce and is undisupted Middle champ.

Why doesnt tarver call out Calzaghe instead. Lacy looked shot (ooops that word again) in his last fight, will he ever be the same?

Lacy looked injured in his first fight back after a beating. Think shot is too strong a word an will expect an apology thank you

Also, how did Tarver become the peoples champ? By beating Rocky Balboa? It certainly wasn't by losing to Bernard Hopkins.

And Tarver's agruement is null and void, can you imagine him throwing as many punches as Calzaghe did in a round, in a whole fight? Would favour Lacy to win that one if it was to come off.

Tarver is an idiot, who knows one more loss will destroy his career. He doesn't want to fight a big, tall, live wire like Dawson. He wants to feast on a guy who took a terrible beating and then messed his shoulder up in his comeback fight (Lacy). Tarver couldn't even get rid of Jones in their rubber match and he was a dead man walking in that fight. Tarver's mouth gotten him as much attention as his ring exploits.

Unbeaten, undisputed middleweight flop.

I'd love to watch Lacy smash Tarver unconscious. It would be so hilarious to see those big fat lips of his shut for good.

Tarver probably realises that he hasn't got long left in the sport, even shorter if he were to lose soon & there's a good chance that when he faces a top-level boxer, that will happen.

Traver's just trying to generate as much publicity as possible, try to make as much money as he can, while he still can.

Nonetheless, he's on another planet if he actually believes some of the comments he makes. Its just plain ridiculous!

If he does beat him (unlikely I know), it will cast serious doubts on Lacy tho, maybe 'shot' will then be used again...

BTW Tarver will have 4 inches on Lacy in height but only one in reach

If Taylor is a flop I would not mind flopping like that.

Questionable decisions vs Spinks, Wright and Hopkins. He didn't match the hype and his free ride pre title days didn't develop him properly. Bring on Pavlik and get it over with - please.

On talent and in ring performance, Karmazin would be a better middle champ than Taylor. I Taylor beat Spinks then Roman did it better. And he also dropped, outclassed and tortured Ouma.

Anyway, this is a Tarver hate thread! A thread to explore maybe Tarver's extreme egomania setting him up for a fall; his deserved lapse into obscurity, etc etc
