Setanta Sports -Is It Worth It?

So Setanta seem to have announced themselves as a player by picking up Saturday's excellent card - Cotto v Judah, Humberto Soto v Bobby Pac, Chavez Jr v Wiley, etc. A lot of talent on that card.
Also, we know they have the rights to Hatton fights.
But will they show enough boxing to justify £15 per month? Picking up Cotto-Judah is an awesome start. Commend them for filling in the gap that Sky left out. But will we get CONSISTENT good stuff?
I suppose you could always buy it for 1 month (£15) that the fight you want is on, as if it's a PPV...
Thoughts please...

I see it as one off, not worth another extra £15 quid a month for. These 2 fights and the worst selection of premiership games.

Why Hatton fighting for IBO belt?

How many international cards would Setanta have to show for it to be worth £15 a month?
I'm not paying money to see Hatton twice a year.
On Sky we get what, 2-4 a month of British fights and an international one now & again. But usually that's something every week so it's just about worth buying...
This Setanta deal is worth getting for the buy 1 month, get 2 months free. Because it's £15 for Cotto-Judah (incl rest of card) and Hatton-Castillo (incl wretched undercard) which are on in the same month.
But are these Oirish just being flash to begin with? Or are they thinking long term?

I love boxing but like other sports, football, cricket, darts. I might get it for free period but i dont think its got enough quality to keep me. The prem football will be the poor matches like of west ham v fulham!!
I think this is been shown as he could be Hatton next opponent. They spent a lot of money on FA cup football and US golf. The rest of there output is not up too much unless you like Italian, German and Scottish football.

Not being flash at all look at what you get for your 18 euro, racing uk, a dedicated golf channel, free boxing, footy matches etc etc.... beats the shit out of sky any day in my eyes.
I suppose sky do give you the wrestling channel..

Its 15 quid a month, if it was 10 quid I might subscribe. I would only watch golf, some premiership football and Hatton fights. I not interested in American sports like baseball and Italian, Scottish football.

let's not forget, Warren's shows may end up on Setanta. I know that's nothing to brag about, but I still want to follow Calzaghe, Maccarinelli, M'Baye, Arthur and Khan because regardless of quality fights it's a major part of the UK scene.
I'm just not sure. Is Cotto-Judah a taste of things to come? Or is it bravado?

15 quid for racing uk, dedicated golf channel, boxing and the odd premiership and scottish game beats sky?? I dont think so...
Sky have the rights to all the home nations international football matches, 80% (is it) of premiership matches, it also shows free boxing on an almost weekly basis (have you seen the recent line up?), it has the rights for english cricket, all of the away rugby matches in the recent tour down under, super 12, heiniken cup rugby, soccer am (tim lovejoy quit yesterday though so quite how good it'll be next year depends on who comes in), fa cup, league cup, every champions league game in the multi screen thing... the list could go on and on.

The £15 includes the Hatton and Judah fights. Make sure you ask for The Ricky Hatton Special Offer, otherwise you will be subscribing for a year. 15 quid for Hatton-Castillo, Judah-Cotto and 8 or 9 channels for 3 months is a great deal!

I didn't realise there was a special offer on. £15 for 3 months of setanta sounds like a good deal, especially if you are into horse racing. I did look into getting Setanta last month but that was when you would have had to sign up to a 12 months contract. Sounds like a good offer.

I went to sign up today and it still said in was a minimum 12 month contract so I left it.

Dang, I thought you could try for the 3 months and then cancel it if you wanted. I don't really need 9 months of Scottish football.
