Anyone here remembers the Australian Welterweight Champ of the 1960s Sid Prior?

He won the title when it meant something, from Gary Cowburn, retired virtually undefeated (one controversial loss to Willie Stevenson, avenged in a rematch) at the ripe age of 19 when he had a disagreement with his trainer/manager.

Does anyone know of his whereabouts? He'd only be in his early sixties, maybe even late fifties.

I remember Sid Prior. Willie "Pineapple" Stevenson made out that their second fight was a fix. This allegation was made after Sid beat Gary Cowburn for the Australian Welterweight title. Prior did not fight again.

On a less pleasant note, a while after he retired Prior punched a friend of mine out at a party. My friend was only 16 at the time. No great hero, Sid.
