I've heard Julie Goodyear might be moved into a title shot....

..well she's had Justin Fashanu flat on his back in no time, and he was a big lad.

If he gets his hand caught in one of her earrings we've had it....

If not Kessler or Taylor then I'm stumped. Hopkins won't happen and he's fighting soon.

Tarver? He is shite and just fought....

Woods? Nope.....

I think he'll fight Froch next year, but until then, if we don't get Kessler I'm sticking with Goodyear...

So is this fight off then? Why the sudden despond?

How can a fight that was never on, be off.

I was intrigued to read Glen Catley is now WBC#13.

Obviously, they look at him favourably as a former champion but he's now a legitimate possibility for Kessler.

Christ.

Kessler doesn't have to face a mandatory till 2008. He's not one to go taking easy pickings from dodgy sanctioning body rankings.

I think we all know what's going to happen here. Kessler and Mundine will fight each other again and Joe will be without a big name foe.

What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What on earth is Fwank going to do now, I have seen some people name him already but I have also thought Carl Froch from the beginning will take the fight obviously on the condition that "options" are not part of the deal.

Quoted on secondsout.com in the USA section, Kerry Davis Head of HBO is quoted as saying when asked about Kessler/Calzaghe
"No it is not a done deal I think there is something wrong there.
Lou DiBella is quoted as saying "No, even though Calzaghe-Kessler is in jeopardy, we are not pursuing a Taylor-Calzaghe fight right now. Kelly Pavlik is the next fight we’re putting together for Jermain,” DiBella commented
Poor Fwank, no Kessler fight, no Taylor fight, I am also hearing struggling for a TV deal, what on earth is going to happen to the great Fwank.

Just another couple of dark horses,

Tarver won at the weekend.

Glencoffe Johnson.

Maybe Clinton Woods?

That's fine by me. 1st quality mandatory. I look forward to that as I'm big on Inkin.

Forgot Inkin is the mandatory.

Will Calzaghe step up to Light Heavyweight?

Lol this makes me laugh. We have still not heard from Palle with him being in hospital. At this stage Palle has made an offer and Warren has accepted it, giving home advantage to Kessler. Palle offered September, but the rumour is Kessler wants an extra two months, either way Joe has been quoted as saying he is happy with either September or November.

This fight is closer than its ever been, at least Joe is clearly got his eyes on Kessler now. It certainly isnt off, just awaiting next response from Palle.

My guess is Inkin to get the mando fight out of the way. Hopefully Inkin can put up a good effort....

The response is in the danish media here

http://politiken.dk/sport/article324085.ece

and here

http://www.bt.dk/article/20070613/SPORT08/706130309/0/A

(both in danish)

It says that the financial part has been agreed on but a date needs to be set. Warren wants september and Palle november. And the original offer has been increased so one should expect an official statement soon.

Still sounds promising to me.

Joe said he's cool with November. What happened to all that talk?
