Green vs Kamoko

Green set to face Ghana's Braimah Kamoko 23-0 (13ko) who is WBC number 9. Looks like a credible opponent, better that Nivea Body Cream (Mundine's opponent) anyway and it is hard to rely on these African opponent records. Research shows he is the nephew of the great Azumah Nelson who smahsed Fenech.

Any truth to this??

I have heard they have a press conference tomorrow so I gues we will find out.

Hmm, very interesting news. Can't say that I've heard of Kamoko before. Upon inspection it appears that 12 of Kamoko's 23 victories have been against fighters making their pro debut, and only 1 was against a fighter with more than 7 fights under their belt! Green will be a huge step up for him.

US press says Green is to fight Otis "Triple OG" Griffin, who won a televised reality boxing show here that wasn't the Contender.

Kamoko is rubbish. 12 of his 23 opponents were making there debut and the rest have a combined record of 11-20-1 with 6 of those wins credited to just one opponent.

His best win was over Marka and he's a club fighter.

I had Robert Allen available to fight Green, Allen's credentials far exceed that of Kamokos

This is terrible news! Green had Siaca all set and now he is facing a numpty... Perhaps Kamoko should fight Nivea Body Cream instead while the powers that be try to find some credible opponents for our guys...

This is such a shame!

A step up from that other bloke and a decent name in general... not the worst option Team Green could come up with.

With that said I reckon Danny will KHTFO in the middle rounds!

Edit: I'm not sure this is the bloke I was thinking of... The bloke I was thinking of was Canadian, just looked this guy up and says he is from the US. Can anyone think of who I might have been thinking of (not Lucas)???

He is not a tomato can at least, I think he will give danny a good test as he is a decent boxer.

Never seen Griffin, has anyone here? The only fight he has lost was his pro debut in 2004, and his two draws were in 4 round fights. Sound like a much better opponent than Kamoko!

I was still more excited when I thought it was Otis Grant  :TU: :D

Griffin's record isn't all the flash, don't think I've seen him fight but I think most people would agree he is better than Mundine's opponent and it should give Green a KO...

I think at this stage he is a better opponent than Grant, He is tall and a decent boxer mover, he will give Green a hard fight and i just hope Green is in form as he could easily get outboxed by this guy.

Either I'm not giving this guy enough credit or you're giving him too much... I guess only time will.

(Although if you have seen him fight I will lean to your opinion, as I haven't :D )

I have only seen 1 fight but he looked good.
Its not that he is a world beater but im not as convinced of Green as i was a few years ago. I thought he would beat Beyer then Mundine and know im not convinced he can beat any fighter that can uses his feet.
