British light middleweight champion Jamie Moore is celebrating the news today that his 12 round clash with the talented Vincent Vuma 22-2 ( 13 ) will now be for the WBC International light middleweight title.
Moore 27-3 ( 18 ) is ranked at No.10 by the WBC and knows that by winning this title he moves another step closer to the WBC’s famous green belt.
“It has been my dream since the first time I put on a pair of boxing gloves to do as Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran and Marvin Hagler have done and wear the green belt around my waist,” Moore said.
“I have shown that I can fight with the best and I am going to the trenches again with Vuma as I want to knock him out and claim the WBC International belt. After that I want to fight for a European belt and then go for a world title,” the father of two said.
Moore has always been a fighter’s fighter who has achieved his success by going through the ranks and fighting for different titles.
“That is the only way to learn the trade,” Moore said.
“There are no short-cuts to the top.”
