I'm ashamed to ask and quite fearful of the responses I may receive but....I'm off to the fight on Saturday .....what are you supposed to wear? Is it a dressy affair? Do I wear jeans? Does anyone care? I guess not - but if anyone knows a polite answer to my question...... :P

It aint Royal Ascot but you can dress up or down to suit yourself.

I would imagine Man City football shirts would be a common sight

Mate it is 108 degrees out there right now. Most people will be in shorts and t-shirts unless they are celebs inner ringside

There is absolutely no dress code in Las Vegas.

They wear shorts and tee-shirts day and night.

J, make sure you get down to the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel, I've heard some very good things about that place.

I can confirm that dreams CAN come true at The Hard Rock. If you leave later than Sunday make sure you get to the REhab beach party at Hard Rock.

Agreed, before I got married, HRH was usually manner from heaven.

If you have got real balls and can pull it off, wear a dinner suit to the fight. I did it a few times, always pulled afterwards as birds come up and ask why you are wearing a tux, you have to look them right in the eye and say "When an English gentlemen gambles, he alwys does it in a Dinner Jacket", theythink you are James Bond.

These days though, its jeans and a shirt for me!!

Yeah, I'm with you there, wearing a well fitting suit is the nuts, I love having the opportunity to wear one.

I always buy my suits at H&M, for the money they are fantastic, and I'm fortunate that their off the peg numbers fit me like a glove. They look uncannily like a Helmut Lang suit, but for a 10th of the price!

I always used to wear a suit when I was covering a show, felt it was appropriate somehow.

To paraphrase Rodney Trotter.

You can feel less comfortable walking back the car alone at York Hall at midnight with slip on shoes on of course but that is the trade off.

If you got trouble, your acceleration would be poor and you know you'd lose a shoe in any ensuing fisticuffs.

I buy designer suits made by a guy called Mat Alan . He's big in Wales.

You know, it's funny, but whenever I wear leather soled shoes, I've always thought that. 'Shit, if I get a in a barney, I'll never be able to get any grip if I had to throw a punch.'

Kicking is definetly out too, unless you want to end up on the deck.

As you say, the trade off is looking like a ponce on the way hope when surrounded by the chav element who are pissed and looking for a barney.

Bad news, it's only 8 am at the moment in Vegas.!

That means even if the fight is at 7.pm their time, it's going to be on here about 3 in the morning. Unfortunately they have daylight savings in the US too.
