Why is Dempsey's hometown listed here as NYC? That may have been his hometown after he retired, but during his boxing days it seems he hung out more in Los Angeles or Salt Lake City.
In fact, newspapers of the day (I'm reading 1923 here) say it's Salt Lake City.
