Does the UK still produce top quality refs? I was trying to think of the last time one was appointed for a 'super fight'

Victor Laughlin, Paisley Scotland. Top ref in my opinion, calls it as he sees it, no bias.

the best ref i have seen in a very long time is a man by the name of garry bedford. he ref,s at the circus tavern on the unlicance shows. i wouldn,t normaly talk about them shows but he is spot on and very professional in his approach to the bouts . people have said he should apply to be a pro ref because in my apinion he would give any ref in britian a run for there money

I think thats because the Americans only allow their refs to referee but allow outside judges. British refs usually get the big fights over here though. refs like Parris, Vann, O'Conner, Foster, Davies. I think Ian John is doing well too.

i wish Ian John Lewis would stop with the shouting all the time. He's a good ref, times his breaks and stoppages well. Which is the main thing. But he does seem to like being vocal
