Mosley could be tough for Hatton. Shane has class and power. But he lacks speed and zest now and IS an old guy...

If Hatton's not a world champion then no SN fighters are world champions. Because it's habitual to pick up a belt without even beating a world class opponent. Macca isn't a world champion. Arthur definitely won't be - whether he gets half of a WBO or full - because is he even going to go near Pac, Soto or Marquez? Hatton beat Tszyu, and so it doesn't matter which title he holds - he's still the champion.

Why not a non-title affair? Ricky would beat MBaye, vacate the belt anyway. Champion vs title holder, it could still easily be marketed.

Am I missing something, why would Ricky even entertain the idea of giving a allegedly fighter a shot at the BIG time????

Warren has always said keeping Hatton busy was a huge priority due to the weight issues etc... Im sure the NOTW column will be full of praise on Sunday.

The thing is, is M'Baye any lesser than Malignaggi? I'd say they're about equal. Paulie brings trash talking and a New York following. M'Baye can be done at the MEN. Two big stages there.

As B/C says, Kotelnik is the obstacle. M'Baye never has it easy with this guy who won't go away. I won't moan about the decisions, but you can make a case for Kotelnik winning one of those fights, at least.

I'm not arguing with you but the WBC, IBF, WBA and IBF only recognise each other and not the others. If this were not the case why did the WBC
allow their International belt last Saturday. Fact is, Hatton MAY be the best 10 stoner in the world (Not even in the north of England in my eyes) but the facts are the facts, he is not a World Champion, belt wise at least.

Do you know how and why? I thought the IBO were formed first, or at any rate were sanctioning fights before the WBU, although admittedly that's different from which was formed first.

the only reason hatton never had one of the major belts is cos they went and stripped him.

the belts cheapen thereselves when they do that.

and look how awful n'dou looked last week.
