Last night there were a couple of opponents named for Shane Cameron and I think they are worth discussing
The first is Evander Holyfield..... The Real Deal is a little ancient, but is still a great fighter and he could prove to classy for Shane. I like Cameron, and this would be a tough fight, anyone think Cameron could take the Evander?
The second fight was Solomon Haumono. I think Solo is a little bit green for a fighter like Cameron, but there is no doubt if Solo can get some decent fights he could develop his tools and be a big threat to Shane. I think if this was Solo's next fight it would go the way of Cameron.

Get the cash and spend it on bringing the winner of Skelton vs Sprott for the Commonwealth title or wait till the title is vacated and fight for it in Auckland against somone like Kali Meehan, Art Binkowski or Scott Gammer.
Cameron isn't quite ready for Holyfield or Tua yet. They maybe old but they have the hard yards under their belt. Cameron is in no rush and has tim to pick up a Commonwealth heavyweight title

Not sure about Holy I still don'y know what he's got left and if Shane beats him people will say it will be because he is old, if he loses he loses and that never good. There would of course be increased exposure and I dare say a decent pay day...
The Solo match up has potential to be huge in a couple of years if Solo can step it up and still remain the force he seems to be now. In short could be good but not just yet...

I spoke with Gammer's manager Paul Boyce a while ago and he said both teams have actually beein in discussions about taking Gammer over to NZ, first of all in a warm-up bout but with the eventual idea being a match with Cameron. This was before the Danny Williams loss, however.
