Mundine to train with Mosley

Apparently Mundine's good friend Billy Dib has put in good word for him with the Golden Boy and Sugar Shane. To the extent that Mosley has invited Mundine to work with him in the states. Mundine will of course take up the offer so long as he overcomes a biecep injury he has flown to melbourne to get looked at.
What do you make of this?

I am a little surprised that Golden Boy Promotions and Mosley would want to have anything to do with Mundine after his famous 911 comments.
Golden Boy - Oscar himself has ALWAYS done everything correctly and his fists took him to the top.
Mundine is a loud mouth dick head that talks the talk and cannot walk the walk ie he talks himself up and then fights some fighter who is not world class.

I think it's great. You learn so much more when you get to work with the best in the business.

And I'm sure that Oscar can only improve from working out with 'the Man'

I'm going out on a limb here. I think Kessler is the ONLY class fighter he has fought. Solimon is NOT and NEVER will be world class at Super Middleweight.
Ottke will be considered a real champion when people look back at his record but he has had more dud decisions go his way than Mohammad Ali

I'm gonna go ahead and dis agree. Ottke, beat some of the best, and was undefeated.
I'd also disagree that they were incredibly dodgy decisions. I've seen a couple of the so called home town wins that Ottke got and I thought he did enough to win them, also if you remember the Mundine fight, it was scored very fairly and Choc was winning the fight.
Sam would be top 10 or 15 in the division.
Echols at the time would have been top 10 in the division
Siaca would have been in the top 10 - 20 in the division
Kessler is number 1 or 2
Ottke was in the top 3

Echols was SHOT in every sense of the word and Mundine still had to hug and run to get by...
I agree with the others though.

Echols had 5 fights as a SM before the Mundine fight, including some good wins over Charles 'The Hatchet' Brewer, previously undefeated Lawrence Chapman and Kabary Salem, the bloke that dropped Calzaghe. He at the time was a top ten SM
Sam was and still is at max a middleweight. To be honest I think he's more of a Jnr Middleweight, but my point is that he would beat a lot of the guys in the top ten SM in the world. I'd have Soliman at 8 at the worst
World Super Middleweight Ratings
1 Joe Calzaghe 35 1,508 1993 43-0-0
2 Mikkel Kessler 28 1,244 1998 39-0-0
3 Anthony Mundine 32 858 2000 29-3-0
4 Carl Froch 30 793 2002 21-0-0
5 Lucian Bute 27 789 2003 20-0-0
6 Jeff Lacy 30 659 2001 22-1-0
7 Denis Inkin 29 608 2001 31-0-0
8 Alejandro Berrio 30 585 1997 26-4-0
9 Markus Beyer 36 520 1996 34-3-1
10 Mariano Natalio Carrera

Mundine was behind on all 3 cards before being KOd.
You can build up Mundine all you want but really he has never beaten a world champ to get a belt and hasnt ever been better than 3rd or 4th in his division.
I think that Ottke was a top fighter and was the number 1 in the division. Calzaghe at that time had the WBO belt which was worthless so in my eyes Ottke was the true 168 pound champ.
Siaca was maybe a top 10-20 fighter who just managed to pull a major upset in his fight with Mundine, Ecchols was shot at the time of there fight and was no where near top 10, Soliman i wouldnt have in mt top 10 at 168 maybe top 20.

Yeah he was behind on the cards after having points taken off and having a knock down ruled as a slip.
He was slowing down at the time and lost the last couple of rounds prior to the stoppage. He did a lot better than a bloke with virtually no amateur career and a handful of pro fights should have done.

We keep hearing people say Kessler is the only world class fighter he has fought. Prior to the Green fight, when everybody thought Mundine stood no chance, they were calling Green as one of the best super middleweights in the world....

Mate just look at the facts - Mundine has never beaten a world champ and when he steps up he looks like a chump

Mudine lost to Kessler and Ottke, but hardly looked like a chump.
He gave Ottke all he could handle until he faded down the stretch and got dropped bad.
Kessler is one the the best boxers in any division and at the time I thought it was Mundine's best performance. The scorecards that night were a joke, to suggest that Mundine didn't win a round was ludicrous.
Yes Mundine lost, but to say he looked like a chump is just plain wrong

You are correct he is not a chump - I was wrong. And he did look good in that fight and probably won a couple of rounds but I think there absolutely no doubt that Kessler clearly won the fight.
But I still maintain he is a dick head.

I honestly believe if the Mundine Green fight had of happened when they 1st talked about it Green would have smashed him but by the time this fight came around Green was never going to beat Mundine and never will

You can make these hypothetical comparisons all day. Fact of the matter is, they fought, Green didn't take a round from Choc. Choc won. End of.

I can say what I think and i'm saying I picked Mundine to win and win easy and Mundine was very smart to fight Green only when he knew he was ready. You seem to get your back up even when people are praising Mundine

If thats what you call "praising Mundine", then I am a fornicating poofter.
if the Mundine Green fight had of happened when they 1st talked about it
The keyword in that is IF. IF = INSTANT FAILURE.
