However, why has everything been so secretive. I've not seen it advertised, not seen any announcements. What I'd like to know is - what is the deal? Exclusive, fight-by-fight, can other promoters than Warren be in on it? What will ITV's quality control be like? What exactly is it that's being kept quiet?

Well i move into a flat on the Friday, so should be able to celabrate watching this on Saturday night.

Not a bad night. Looking forward to seeing how Khan deals with the step up in opposition. I don't think Limond will be the pushover some expect. How good is Steve Luevano? I don't think I have seen him fight.

It is fantastic ITV are staying with boxing for now, but the viewing figures need to be improved on otherwise the next time the contract comes around it is curtains. As it is there will be a certain amount of quality control.

For those who are searching why Calzaghe v Kessler is not made just yet, Warren does not have the benefit of lucrative PPV sales and lets face it the fight will not sell in the states, so why should American TV want to buy it unless of course a big name is on the bill as a supporting act or on the undercard.

ITV cannot resist the business powa of allegedly.

Do we have to go through this whole rigmarole ahead of the 21st, or is that "confirmed" for ITV as well? Enzo fight particularly should be one to catch the public's eye.

yep , that's the pick for me . I don't think either fighter has the pop to put the other away so we're in a for another 10 rounds of them battering each other .

My answer is very simple, Klitschko has a chance in some people eyes of unifying the Heavyweight division, in addition he has bothered his arse to fight in America and therefore there is at least some interest.

What efforts has Calzaghe done to make a name in the states, you could actually outside Wales. As good as some people will argue Calzaghe is it really comes down to opinion and not hard facts, because which person in Calzaghes division has he faced to prove beyond any reasonable doubt he is the best? HBO to shell out millions for a fight outside of the states there has to be something in it for them, what is there?

pryce has been boxing a little better of late.

but small showed his skills in the wright fight and we now know he can dig in when hurt.

I have just realised my better-half has accepted a party invitation for Saturday, and as the show/coverage has not been advertised (so to speak) it didn't stick out in my mind...... do I have to make an excuse now to be back in time? I wish I'd known from the off so we (she) could be prepared.

Luckily I think the party starts at 5pm as most people have kids (including the hosts) so if I make sure we are there for the kick-off, I can have a beer, two hours of chatting, bit of barbeque, leave at 7:30 and still be back in time for the fights....and won't be a lie to say "sorry, need to get home and get the little'uns in to their beds"



Only problem is that I just know my missus will insist on watching CSI NY at 9pm so I will have to do the old "flicking between channels" thing.

I was so pleased I saw the final round of Katsidis-Earl (same situation) but angry that I didn't see the moment of the actual ending as I had to switch back as the round ended

Something tells me ITV will be a tadge annoyed with W arren. They are busily building up the likes of Cazlaghe and Amir Khan. As soon as the big fights come along they go to a satelite broadcaster who is willing to part with the cash to show the fight. Interesting what ITVs stance is on this.

Amir Khan is staying on ITV - 6 fights over the next 12 months according to teh eal announced yesterday.

I take your point but Calzaghe got great American exposure beating up Jeff Lacy live on Showtime who some Yanks thought was the second coming. My simple argument is HBO paid a load of money for a load of shit so surely could have coughed some up for one of the best current fights in any division featuring the longest reigning 'champ' who has had relatively recent live US TV exposure.
