What, after that disaster, another hugely risky fight with a lad that can bang - Do you really want to see Khan beaten and ITV pulling the plug on boxing, I dont - Khan is the reason for boxing on ITV and somehow he has to keep winning - Last night was far from being a success for Khan, he very nearly lost - God knows who they can find next for him - My bet is an unknown from Europe with a few losses.

A rematch with Limond would be nice.

It would give a Khan a chance to show that he as learnt, plus it will give another chance to Limond, as he was denied the opportunity to go on due to injury.

I'd go for Earl. Don't think Graham has that much left and he's hardly a banger. Khan will have learned plenty from last night. It's all part of his boxing education. Earl too one-dimesnional for Khan.

Meager, Earl, Thaxton. Those are the fights he needs to establish exactly how far he will go. Maybe with a gimme thrown in there somewhere.

i'd put him in with meager earl or thaxton next and arm him with a bloody great shield. is this in the rules?

Khan needs to climb right back on the horse and start f-cking learning, for cripes sake. Next time it needs to be somebody of similar quality. Get him nervous and edgy before every fight. Make sure he is sharp in trianing because he knows it's a toughie coming up.

That's the way to bring the boy on, and when he can deal with the likes of Meager and Stewart with ease, give him to Earl and Thaxton and keep pushing him. DOn't put him in too deep, but he's shown he can deal with the likes of Limond, so others of that standard for 2 or 3 fights should not un the risk of ruining him.

No risk at all means no development.

Earl seems the most sensible, but a name from the Continent that would also make sense is Matt Zegan.

He could be getting Earl at the right time. I'm sure the Katsidis fight took a lot out of him. Earl's pulling out of the Thaxton fight was probably due to a Khan fight being in the works.

He could move up to lightwelter and fight Barry Morrison. But then again, maybe not coz Barry can bang a bit.

Expect a move back down in opponent level.

A rematch against Limond would be very sporting, however Khan has already defeated him and he would just be repeating a feat he's already accomplished...

I think that Kahn should stay home for another year and make 4/5 defences of his Commonwealth title. He should definitely challenge the best of the British to put himself and the top of that tree...

Here are some challengers that Kahn should examine:

WILLIE LIMMOND:
As I said earlier, Limmond gave a fnatastic account of himself and had the ifght won for a round....Yet Kahn could fight him again and try to win more convincingly....

JONATHAN THAXTON:
He could be Kahn's most difficult test, experienced and strong, Thaxton has been around, yet I don't think that Amir is ready for that just yet......

GRAHAM EARL:
A former Wrold-Titile contender, a victory over Earl would give Khan some good credibility at this weight...

LEE MEAGER:
A step-down form Limmond, but a good victory to have...It's unlikely Kahn will fight him though.

JOHN MURRAY:
Certainly a fight for Amir. Both fighters are jostling for the position to be Britains most promising young fighter at this weight, and a showdown might be ineivtable.

I would say Earl, he is shopworn enough to be taken and i imagine the WBU bauble will be thrown in for comedy value. Failing that as i said in a previous thread he may get put in with a low threatening African in a Commonwealth defence? And i doubt he will be let anywhere near Jon Thaxton because Thaxton has a respectable enough dig on him.
