The Sprott - Skelton rematch was one of the worst fights ever & just highlighted how poor the HW division is.

The bulk of the criticism must lie with Sprott, due to his negativity, but Skelton cannot escape criticism, as he just showed that he was too limited to deal with an average journeyman that did not want to fight.

My real point is that thanks to Sprott's turgid showing, F rank Warren will now have an excuse not to try & pursue a world title shot for Skelton, as Matt just proved that he is not ready & that is a damning indictment, considering that the HW division is so poor. :x

To be honest, the winner probably would not have got a title shot anyway, even if the fight was an exact carbon copy of Saad Muhammad -v- Lopez 2, as we all know that F rank Warren spouts a lot of hot air.

The only funny thing about this fight was when the commentator asked, "a penny for Audley Harrison's thoughts?"

Did he seriously think that we cared what a useless bum like Harrison thought?

We should be thankful that Harrison was not 'fighting' Skelton last night as the contest would have been even worse & Audley probably would have jumped out of the ring in tears, the minute Skelton started roughing him up!

FWcan,t deliver a heavyweight title for anybody thats why we`ve had this rediculous merry go round for the last few years. Skeltons beaten everybody in front of him and deserves his chance, Hese got more balls,fitness and heart than the rest put together.

To be honest, I disagree. I think the fact that Skelton won means that Allegedly will still have his meal ticket when it comes to the heavyweights. Skelton is by far the biggest ticket seller of the Sprott/Williams/Harrison/Skelton circle, so he will always pull in the crowds, and with Khan he'll provide the crowds at the shows.

a title fight now, What a joke! He coudn`t deliver one any way, Now he has his exscuse not to.
At the end of the day It was Sprott who came to spoil and even Tyson struggled with spoilers.
Warren wasn,t saying this after the Harrison-Williams 1 fiasco p***k.

harrison draws bigger crowds than skelton.

they should just do a harrison-skelton fight.

there the only 2 that hasn't bored us yet.

Skelton would surely only ever get a title shot in a voluntary capacity, and didn't he already turn down one against the most vulnerable belt holder? All seems a bit of a pointless "pursuit".

I'd actually quite like to see Skelton v Audley.

David Haye's immediate HW future is looking rosy if he gets past Mormeck. Who'd have thought it 18 months ago when Haye started talking about moving up?

As John Rawling said last night about Bruno - who was ringside: "If Frank was around today, he'd be world champion for quite some time."
The idea of David winning a title isn't exactly a pipe dream for him right now.

I'd love to see Haye expose these awful British heavies then win a world title.

So, anyway, there aren't enough weak heavyweight champs for Skelton to have a chance. Wlad is on form and hard to beat, using his physical advantages as he does these days. Chagaev is a fat lazy git, but can bix well when he has to (& should beat Ibragimov easily). Peter should trounce Maskaev if it ever happens.

The only work Skelton or Sprott should get would be a sacrificial offering to Gingernut Povetkin.

I wouldn't write of Maccarinelli as a future very decent Heavyweight.

Regardless of what's happened in the past, on this night Audley would have stood both of them on their heads.

I have read on a few occasions that Macca is very comfortable at cruiser.

He is a pretty long,lanky chap,and putting on the neccessary weight might be a problem for him.

You are clearly and quite obviously extremely mad, Maccarinelli is chinny at Crusierweight what will happen when he meets bigger, taller heavyweights who can take his one tool which is his only one in the box which is his punch power.

As soon as Macarinelli comes up against someone remotely world class he will lose.

i cant see haye hanging around to fight the likes of skelton or sprott.

After he beats mormeck he'll prob get an eliminator against a big name , ie rahman, briggs and have a title shot in a year.

The form hes in now i'd fancy haye to beat any of them

It's not so much his height, but his build. He is slightly flabby at cruiser unlike David Haye who is bulging with muscle.

He doesn't look like a heavyweight - his hasn't a heavyweight skull / body shape.

And let's not forget there's only been ONE top cruiser who's had any kind of success at heavyweight world level.

I know he started out at cruiserweight - as did many others - but he wasn't a top cruiserweight.
