just noticed that a video of both knockdowns from khans fight against limmond has been pulled from youtube by sn but other videos of him ( whilst a sn fighter) have not. any reasons why this might be?

I noticed that - said it was pulled due to a copyright claim made by Sports Network. Maybe it was done to protect their fighter, so that people don't get to see how badly hurt Khan was. Either that or they want traffic directed to Warrens website where it might be shown to members. BTW - surprised at the write up on that site by Iain Axon, thought it would be a bit more pro-Khan than it was.

SN pull all (well most) of their fights from there. Calzaghe Lacy is a prime example.

Understandable I suppose, although I do think they have gone to extreme - especially pulling Naz Hamed material and the Old ITV music (which contains no action).

I cannot see Warren making a fortune on Naz stuff now.

i wasnt aware of this but i did notice that fwtv like to use this website to their own advantage by putting promos on there. whats good for the goose and so on

if you look there are other fights on there from SN. i suppose they want to host/control the showing of their own property, whether it is given away for free or at cost.

i tried to view it and was not surprised to see it taken down. it wont be a problem for much longer though, as youtube are being sued by so many corporations in europe and the states they will be potless.

what they do by hosting pirated material is theft, and they should be dealt with accordingly. they are copping a fortune in advertising revenue by hosting other peoples property illegally. why should rights owners do all the hard work by putting events on (such as boxing, football, music, making films, tv shows) and let others line their pockets? thieving f*ckers, and the people who put stuff on there illegally are no better.

dont you think youre being a bit hypocritical by going to the site to view videos then calling them theiving f**kers.

Don't think it's got anything to do with Khan's performance. Warren has all of his fights taken down from youtube, as he feels they're his intellectual property and his money making potential -- either through DVD sale or attracting people to sign up to his site by providing exclusive footage -- is reduced by having them free to view on youtube, meta cafe and the rest.

Much as Khan's performance would have been something he would have rather done with out, even if Khan had looked like the reincarnation o Sugar Ray Robinson, that fight would have taken off youtube, I would think.

Whats interesting aswell is that the ITV.com website used to have loads of video clips from past fights, but now they have all dissapeared. Wonder if old Franky had a hand in that?

My old account on youtube got suspended because of SportsNetwork complaining to youtube about me putting up videos of Calzaghe's early fights.

Until recently, Jonathan Ross had YouTube clips of his friday night show removed. Reason given was that Jonathan felt he should protect footage of his guests. As it is, old clips have to be paid for by other TV companies.

So if anyone wants to screen the knockout, they'll have to contact SN. It's about money and approval basically.
