IF THIS FIGHT TAKES PLACE WHO WINS? IMO LYNES IN HIS PRESENT FRAME OF MIND GETS IT BY UD BUT BRANCO IS NOTORIOUS FOR AVOIDING BRITISH FIGHTS SO LETS NOT GET EXCITED, INTERESTINGLY HE IS DOWN TO FIGHT MALEK IN A FEW DAYS WHO LYNES STOPPED IN TWO ROUNDS A COUPLE OF MONTHS BACK

That bill is being shown on Eurosport on Tuesday... Looks a decent little bill. Nice to see old Fuckamany (as I call him) back in action.

It will be interesting to see how much Branco has left. He is the best Italian Light Welter and a step up from Mutley. Home ground I say Lynes on points (comfortable), away I would say Branco (closer, but a worthy winner). I would see it a bit like the David Burke vs Stefano Zoff fight if it was in Italy.

cant believe lynes would want another awayday, but then branco wont come here stalemate, but meybe away fights get the best from lynes so who knows i would like to see it happen

There's away days... and then there is fights in Italy. As well as the dodgy decision, it just doesn't seem to bring the best out of our fighters. Kelly vs Maladrottu 2, Zoff vs Burke, I think Jones might have beaten Piccirillo at home. I also thought that Robin Reid was labouring vs the useless (for a world champion) Nardiello untill he tagged him. Seemed booked for a points loss if you ask me.

It all depends what Branco has left, he is aging now and TBH was never than good, easy to outbox(watch the Vester fight until Allan runs out of steam) but if Lynes is overachieveing a semi prime Branco could wear him down...

whats the situation if branco wont come to london. i cant see a european champ going to italy just to box a mandatory. agree with stu, lynes new aggressive jab style coming forward or on the backfoot beats a punch shy and aged branco in london.

I've always thought he was a very strong guy.

He looked very poor... Probably wasn't motivated for this joke of a fight though.

I think Lynes could beat him. He's shown himself to be well schooled and very competent in beating Morrison and Muttley.

I'd rather see Lynes-Olusegun. That would be a superb domestic match.

Good call Autobarn, with Lynes on a rich vein of form i could see him mugging the unorthodox Olusegun.

Agree, i think Lyne's workrate would be to high.

Olusegun complety underrated Reid in his last fight, i think that was a wake up call for him. Against Lynes it would be close at the start but i think that Olusegun would pull away for a late stoppage.
I'd pick Lynes over Branco now though, Branco is on the slide after a long career.

I know alot of our boxers get stiffed over in Italy, but so do alot of foreign boxers over here. You can't blame them for not wanting to fight here.
