BIT STRONG THIS ON HATTON'S CHANCES

I'm not writing Ricky off either, even though I think Floyd will win right now. I don't buy into the Mayweather will destroy Hatton and then KO him theory. Floyd wasn't a huge puncher at 135lb.jamesmcdonnell wrote:What a load of old tosh. Mike Marley is a likeable guy, but a boxing writer he is not.
That hatton will not win 'one iota of one second of one round' is ludicrous, given that a winded Oscar almost managed to win a decision against Floyd.
The more I think about this fight, the better Hatton's chances seem to me. How is Floyd going to win rounds off the back foot without hurting Hatton enough to deter him?
Come on, he lost 4 rounds clear to Judah and most had the DLH fight close. You can't live off a great defense. The fight will come where he needs more than that.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:The thing is Mayweather is such a fighter he could pull off Marleys prediction, although that isn't my prediction. Watch Mayweather replays on youtube, watch him being attacked, combinations you scored for his opponent don't land at all (not 1 of them) and if you look closely you can see Floyd grinning through his guard.
I rewatched Mayweather-Judah and gave Judah far less rounds (around 2). Delahoya didn't come close to beating Mayweather, rewatch the fight if you disagree, Delahoya couldn't land anything, I gave him 3 rounds and thats all he deserved
Truly unbelievable defense, maybe the best of all time
Bruno tried to sue Lennox for saying he was an Uncle Tom.Chambers2 wrote:What a Bell End this Michael Marley is, where the fcuk did the following paragraph come from???
"If it wasn't for their Winston Churchill and the UK and USA combined fighting forces in WW II, they would be speaking German in Hatton's "local" and across England, Scotland and Wales today."
Hatton is 40 odd fights unbeaten yet, this nobhead keeps referring to him as some sort of loser.
I'm tempted to launch into an anti Yank tirade on the current scene....but why lower myself
Bruno was thisclose to Uncle Tommish behavior outside the ropes yet the masses, particularly the pasty-complected ones, worshipped “Our Frank.” - Marley is a pudendum
You need to rewatch both fights again, they weren't close. Rewatch the rounds you scored to Delahoya in slow mo and you'll see Delahoyas punches that you scored didnt actually land. The defense is very suttle so sometimes you assume Floyds been hit when hes been 10cm away from been hit. Honestly I gave Judah 5rounds the first time I watched it but on second viewing gave him only 3roundsAutobarn wrote:Come on, he lost 4 rounds clear to Judah and most had the DLH fight close. The thing is PM, referees and judges do not watch the fight in slow motion, and fighters know that. It's why fighter like Oscar throw punches in bunches, knowing it is very hard for the ringside judges to be sure if they landed or not.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:You need to rewatch both fights again, they weren't close. So he only has a great defense? He has fast hands, decent power, great footwork, lateral movement, good workrate and doesn't make mistakes. He hits and doesn't get hit and thats the name of the game
Oh give it a rest. Yes he tucks up but he still gets hit. And his replies are pretty weak at times. And re the DLH fight, are you forgetting the times that FM's punches were blocked, when he was punching out of range and hitting gloves? I had it for Mayweather, but he had some catching up to do because he gave the play away early (in fact couldn't compete physically early). Mayweather should have beaten Judah by 8-4 in rounds, and he was also dropped. Surely your microscope analysis recognises that?Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:You need to rewatch both fights again, they weren't close. The amount of punches Delahoya missed is VERY HIGH its not comparable to the occasions when Mayweather hit DLHs gloves, Judah too missed far more when watched in slow mo. Again DLH did not win all the early rounds unless you count missed punches but it was close until Mayweather won the last 4.Autobarn wrote:Oh give it a rest. Yes he tucks up but he still gets hit.
