I like how confident but not arrogant hatton team are. They seems to have a lot respect for floyd as a fighter, but they dont fear him.

Thought long and hard about this one, the best floyd gets is a UD by 2 or 3 rounds. Ricky wins.

Admire Hatton greatly for taking the fight but see no other result than him getting his arse handed to him on a plate by Mayweather. If Hatton pulls this one off he should have his picture on £50 notes for ever. It would be huge but I'm afraid it just won't happen and he will be humiliated as Gatti was.

Come on BC, Hatton is a lot better and stronger than Gatti. I am perfectly prepared to accept Hatton is the underdog, but humiliated? Unless you consider being picked off as someone retreats in top gear for 12 rounds humiliated, I don't see it happening.

The reason Gatti got such a resounding thumping is he played to Floyd's strengths. He tried to outbox Floyd from range, standing right in no mans land, where Floyd could shell him with the heavy artillery, whilst at no risk of taking any fire in return. Gatti came into the fight feeling he was going to lose, and fought the exact reverse of the tactics he should have. Hatton is in his prime, at his best fighting weight, is hungry, fit and has a point to prove, wheras Gatti was at the end of a long and very hard career looking to pick up paydays, a different kettle of fish.

Of course, Floyd is a pretty special fighter, and it could turn out to be a one sided drubbing, there is always that possibility, but personally I find it hard to visualise, far more likely Floyd wins a boring, relatively close, but never in doubt decision.

In the recent Boxing Monthly poll, only yours truly and Buncey went for Ricky (mine with the caveat that he would be in a much, much better position at 140 too).

Seven went for Mayweather.

Outside of the BM staff poll It looked pretty even to who they thought would win.

And it's a great fight for Hatton to take as well, nothing to lose really, going against the P4P # 1, and if he wins, well he's an instant legend.

Plus it's unlikely Floyd knocks him out, so the threat of that type of humiliation is low.
In fact I'm surprised Floyd takes this fight: Nothing to gain, as if he beats Hatton everyone will just say so what...
Floyd is defintely the one with everything to lose.

Plus you can't underestimate Graham and Hatton when it comes to taking the right fight, and working out the tactics to maximise their chances.

Ricky will be all over Floyd like a cheap suite, wacking him around the ribs, arms, back of the head you name it. Grabbing hold of him and throwing him around. Could well turn into a nightmare for Floyd, hope so anyway
