good news. a fight to look forward to, that.

will be a different style that macca's accustomed to. cunningham is fast, but then again he's a big enough target. i hope enzo gets him. good that he's bulding on the good work of the braithwaite fight. not too long ago enzo had hit rock bottom by fighting gunn (though he was clearly improving).

This would deserve a card of its own. How many cruiserweight unifications have we had in the 20 year history of the division?

Very good fight, Macca wins this by UD for me. Cunningham has a chin but tends to really freeze up under pressure.

what a cynical comment. i'm all for criticising when it's shite. but this is hardly Macca-Gunn level, is it?

The British cruisers can excite and they have some world class pedigree, unlike the heavyweights.

Macca v Braithwaite was a bloody good card.

Enzo has earned his headline status.

Excellent stuff. But...are the cruiserweights going to show the heavies how to do it and have a four belt unification? Ironically, given the failings to make it recently, the Haye-Enzo permutation probably has the greatest chance of coming to fruition. And by golly gosh that would be an absolute eipc for a British ring.

not to mention making a Brit the undisputed champion of an entire division for the first time in how long? Hatton King of 140, Enzo (hopefully) King of cruisers, and Haye can go up and be King of the Heavies!

I think in this country, the cruisers can be a draw. All Maccarinelli has to do is fight in Wales and he'll have a big crowd.

By all rights, Haye should be some kind of draw, but I think he needs a Macca type fight to be one. Something to introduce him to the British audience big time. Something that will make the news. A fight with a big build up, a clash of personalities, power vs power style of matchup. He's got the power, the personality (though some feel he's a bit too much of a poser) and the fight fan mentlity. Shit, he's even had the terrestrial TV exposure (loads of his fights were on the BBC).

You're right, sad how a top 3-5 Cruiserweight gets no recognition in terms of fanbase in a solid boxing nation such as Great Britain...simply because he's a Cruiserweight.
