Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere chaps but like many on here I subscribed to Setanta before the Cotto - Judah fight. £15 plus 2 months free then £15 a month. I'm now seeing the channel advertised for a tenner a month. Am I too late to cancel mu subscription and then reorder for a tenner? If not then any idea how I go about it? Thanks in advance.

someone said if you cancel they offer it to you for a tenner. My problem is i want the channels in 2 rooms but heard i have to pay for setanta twice.

If you want the sport on in rooms maybe you could get one of those gismos that 'mirror' the signal to a little receiver in another room. I don't know what they call them, but they'll have them in Comet. I've had one a few years.

The only problem is they literally 'mirror' the signal so you can only watch the same channel at the same time.

So if I wanted to slope off upstairs to watch the boxing on Setanta and my missus wanted to watch a flick on Sky Movies I'm scuppered, but if we both want to watch the footy but in different rooms we're OK.

I already subscribe to SKY but £9.99 a month is tempting, but I will want regular Boxing for that as I don't watch any other sport.

I have a long peice of coax from the outlet on my cable box which runs through to my kitchen - My wife likes to watch cable TV while she is cooking, ironing etc - I buried it in the plaster last time I decorated the living room and hallway - Before going into the kitchen TV it runs through a booster box - Total cost about £20 and a bit of work, works well for us - You can do the same with a freeview box - The only problem is if you are watching something in the kitchen and someone in the living room changes channels - Works with DVDs as well should you want one on while you are working, cleaning etc - How this compares with a signal sender I have no idear.

Thats the problem its expensive enough subscribing to Sky just for the boxing never mind Sentanta as well - For anyone who is sport crazy its another matter - My son in law only ever watches sport and the news and rarely ever sees a film or any other program so in his case he can justify buying sports channels.

The other issue is it's £9.99 now but by the end of the years you can bet it will be £15 and so on..............

It's the hook & reel sales principle I imagine.

VirginMedia have started to offer Setanta as part of there basic sports package for no extra charge

I think I get the lot for 85 quid, all the chanels, kids, movies, sports. Phone and broadband, cant be bad
