Floyd does come across as a little bit of a try-hard and a braggart in that clip, but he really keeps himself in shape. I'd be suprised if he had to lose more than 10 pounds when he started training for Hatton, and his starting-point fitness will be much higher than Hatton's, who has already admitted to putting on 33 pounds since Castillo.

In saying that, he didn't look really fat. Perhaps the shirt he was wearing was flattering, but 173 pounds sounded an awful lot compared to how he looked. He's definitely one, though, whose face shows every single bit of weight that he puts on, so its harder for him to hide the weight gain.

I don't prescribe to this idea that 'Ricky just puts on weight easier than others'. It's because he eats carefully and trains like a demon for 12 weeks, then does nothing and eats like a slob for another 10. It would be easy to put on a 10 lbs a week like that.

Another thing, Floyd has really, really piled on the muscle since his early days. He's actually a little chunky.

People do put on weight alot easier then others, i could eat everything in Tescos and not put on 10 lbs in a week, i couldn't even put it on in one month.

Jesus christ, Hatton must really tuck away the food and booze to put on weight that fast, no matter what sort of metabolism he has, that's bloody diabolical.

Is it me or does anyone feels it's quite possible that Mayweather may run into financial difficulties when he long retired from boxing? This is not me saying this because I'm jealous of Floyd being rich & I hope he doesn't end up skint, coz that's happened to many boxers over the years.

However, Floyd had about 10 watches, lots of other jewellrey in his possession etc. I know it's up to him, but why would one person need all them watches? I don't see the point, you can only wear one at a time, coz if you were to wear two or more, I think you'd look like an idiot?

I must say, Mayweather's abode is something. Man, it seems in USA you get a great more for your money when purchasing a property, unlike here in the UK. Very luxurious cars, but again, he had so many, it's outrageous.

Hatton, as always, came across very well, down-to-earth on Loose Women.Ricky has put on weight since the Castillo bout, but 33lbs, I'm sure about that. If it is 33lbs, then he doesn't look that bad for that amount of weight.

The fight is about 4months away, so Ricky will no doubt have a long training camp, but I think training starts even earlier than normal for this one, and Hatton may even have a longer training camp.

Anyone have any idea when trainjgn commences? I guess Ricky still has some weeks to chill out?

Tyson squandered far more money then PBF will ever earn without the love of a flutter.

Yes, it would be hard to squander that amount of money, but I find a lot of fighters are some-what crazy people & with them anything is possible. Also, living in the USA, it's a place of excess & extremes. Not always a good thing!

Then there all the people that's always around him, the entourage. No doubt their all on the payroll & the maintenance of his house, grounds etc has be taken into account.

Mind you, that amount looks like small change compared to what Tyson spent! Then again, no doubt Mike was conned out of money aswell. That's why if I was a boxer, earning big like Mayweather, I'd be very sceptical of people trying ot muscle in on me, wanting to be a friend etc. Leeches!

He said 33, not 25, and I presumed he meant 33 lbs heavier than he weight in the ring, so from 154, not 140. If not then it's not such a big deal.

He would be walking around 187 if that was the case.

Mayweather recently made around $20 mill for the DLH fight. You've got to remember that this figure was his gross purse. After you deduct his trainer's & adviser's percentages, all training camp expenses and then the tax man's cut, Floyd will probably end up with about 25% of that in his bank account, i.e. abot $5 mill (approx. £2.5 mill). Still an awful lot of money for all of us here, I'm sure, but not quite such a mind-blowing amount. When you then factor into the equation Floyd's gambling habit of up to $35k per day, as mentioned in that 24/7 series, you soon realise ($35k lost per day for 1 month = $1 mill) that he could go broke very quickly.

Ricky just cannot put a foot wrong at the moment. He did very well there on Loose Women, and the Question of Sport thing will enhance his profile even more. And if he beats Mayweather, well.....

And as for PBF, well he really is a prat.

I dont mind a cocky fighter if he backs it up and Mayweather does that.

To tell you the truth, I thought in the early part of the interview on Cribs, he was fine. He was a fun, sharp-talking man showing off his house. Nothing wrong with that, he came over fun and 'street', I guess. But the it where he started referring to himself as 'Money Mayweather', and throwing money at the camera, he really came off as a tit.

You know, Bob Arum said in an interview that he knew Mayweather'd be back, because of the rate he burned through his money. He said that Mayweather's new favouite game was going to a nightclub and throwing out a whole bunch of hundred dollar bills. Looking at the way he did the same thing to the MTV camera, I can well believe it.

Floyd will be fighting for a whole lot longer yet, but he better hope he doesn't lose to Hatton, because given his popularity and recognition and fighting style, he's wages will go down a whole, whole lot.

People watch him because he's the best. Without that universal recognition, he could find himself begging for that package he derided as 'slave wages' a few years back.

Well, if he were to beat Mayweather, Hatton's place in boxing history would be secure, bolted down nice & tight, no matter what hapoens afterwards imo!

Ricky would be a mega, superstar if he were victorious come Dec. 8. It would be something to behold, right up their with the very best achievemtns of other great british sporting victories in my view. Hatton's marketability would increase ten-fold & he would no doubt be sought after by promoters, brands wanting him to advertise their products etc.

Not least to mention that I think Ricky would receive a knighthood sooner than expected if he were to beat Mayweather. If it does happen, it'll be interesting to see if anything changes at all in Ricky. He's a millionaire, already a hero, a looked up to by children etc, and he hasn't changed a bit. His family are still the most imprtant thing to Ricky & he's got time for everyone.

Think the kids name was James. Unfortunately, he's unable to travel aborad, thus the reason why he's not appeared so much these days. As far as I know, he's still a regualr at Hatton's gym & they maintain the friendship they've always had.

It's not a 50/50 fight, but Castillo (at lightweight where Floyd was MUCH better than he is now) and DLH have both shown that Mayweather isn't unbeatable. Far from it. If anyone is going to break PBF's duck for him it's someone with Hatton's style and workrate.
