Does anyone remember a boxer called Gerry O'dowd. I saw him box in 1990 against a boxer called Tony Grizzle. He only had one fight and lost.

Gerry suffered from a mental illness if i remember correctly, he was also the brother of the singer Boy George. After this one and only fight Gerry retired and subsiquently killed his wife. This was a long time ago, but did anyone remember this fighter. He seemed pretty fit and looked good.

does anyone remember the guy, is there any info regarding him now.

Was he rated as a good amateur?

I would suggest he's in prison / mental facility still. He as jailed in 1995 for indefinite detention. As a mental patient would he be in Broadmoor?

I saw him fight live, I believe on the undercard of Foreman vs Anderson in 1990. I remember some of crowd hurling insults at him.

Is he the dude who is the brother from the one dude of the 1980's British group Culture Club ?
( depsite his wardrobe, he still has the "The Hood" written all over him.
