Heavyweight sensation Roman Greenberg continued his lightning ascent through the upper echelons of the division with a sensational victory over former World Title challenger 'Dangerous' Damon Reed. The Tel Aviv Terminator detonated a flurry of brutal blows to cause a blistering ninth round stoppage of the steel-jawed Reed.

Funniest thing i've read all year.

Brilliant summary, let's hope Greenberg can coax Frankie Swindell into the ring next as he continues to step it up and ascend towards world title glory.

I think Michael Bentt would be a step in the right direction.

Blistering ninth round stoppage? Reed was probably blowing out of his arse by then. If Greenberg was anywhere near decent he'd be blowing out the likes of Reed in 3 or 4 rounds maximum.

Fraud!!

No way, nickd. Reed has a cast iron chin. Did you not see him take all the bombs that Herbie Hide was throwing at him over 52 gruelling seconds?

Spoke to a discerning friend in the US, he said that Greenberg-Reed was an epic that made Hagler-Hearns look like a game of Kabbadi on methadone in comparison.

C'mon Roman! Call out Sosnowski for the WBF belt. The World is waiting!

Who would win out of A-farce and Greenfraud?

Couple of nice quotes from the article;

Blessed with un-natural speed and grace in the ring, Roman is far removed from the usual robotic heavyweight style, taking on his opponents with smooth skills, fast moves and knockout power.

Experts around the globe including sports media, trainers, managers and promoters have eagerly watched Romans career proclaiming him the fastest heavyweight since Ali.

His wit is just as quick as his punch, making him a favourite with all he meets.

Roman has now made the UK his home and tells you with the same conviction he punches his opponents with... "I will be World Champion. Watch me." Obviously doesn't have much self belief then!

A-Farce wold tap him with the jab all night. Greenfraud would land one good punch every round, then sit back and pose for the rest of the round. Maybe check himself out, prance around and check his biceps.

A-Farce UTPS.

A-Farce then goes on to get a title shot against the WBF champion and gets knocked the fornicate out.

That secondsout article would appear to be written at the start of 2005, title shot by the end of the year? He's been treading water ever since!

When are they going to step him up? He'll get KO'd but at least they'll have given it a go. Or are they going to do a Brian Nielsen with him?

You are a fekking embarrassment mate. But not as big an embarrassment as Greenberg.

He had talent, and showed it up till he fought Derek McCafferty.

Then, his standard of matchmaking, training and sparring meant that his skills have declined to the stage where they are non existent.

That coupled with a lower than amatuer level promoter, means that Greenberg will never hit any heights.

I would back the South African Champion, Osborn Mashimane, who fights about as regularly as an halleys comet appearance, to detonate greenbergs jaw in two rounds.

I would advise Greenbergs investors, some of them well known in business, to spend their money on Mashimane rather than Greenberg, who is going nowhere unless he finds a better career guide.

I was able to watch the event. Greenberg was in a very dificult situation
as Reed did not take the fight seriously...wrestling, holding, clenching, rabbit punching. Greenberg actually showed himself well given the circumstances. Reed was there to only survive.

And how would you rate Greenberg's chances of further career progression?

Disagree slightly. It is Greenburg who is pressing the self destruct button. I am told at times he is not a good "trainer" and injuries have not helped either. That fight in Monte Carlo proves the point about coming to the ring in an unfit condition.

I can hear Suggs berating me in my head.

That shows in his blubbery look. Somebody beat me to it mentioning Audley, this would be the true acid test. If he can't beat Fraudley time to hang 'em up.

Damon Reed? 9 rounds? and we all thought SN fighters were protected.

I saw signs of development especially in reading the openings that were given and responding with wicked body shots.
It is time to step it up and given the talk between he and Joe Mesi during the broadcast I believe that we may see those two step in the ring against each other. A good match for both as they try to reach the next level.

Come on mate, his career is a slow coach. He is not fighting Mesi next.

I have heard he is fighting Donnell Holmes 27 - 0 (24)

Rated 8 by the WBC - Looks good on paper but in reality he is average

Same sort of record as an early stage Damon Reed

Holmes has fought nothing but truck drivers in tank towns.

If he were fighting in england, he would have put Eddie Stobart out of business.

Greenberg has a lot of talent but the way he is being matched makes it hard to nuture.
