This is gruesome KO though. One of those Exorcist head spinning Kos.....

One of the best KO punches I'ver seen. As soon as contact was made, you knew that was it, it was all over! No point in even attemting to count to ten, there's no way Gevor was getting up.

Gevors eyes went into orbit, & the wya he sort of sagged to the canvas, you knew it was bye-bye.

That was really brutal, he was out as soon as that punch landed, it was scary the way he folded up and then just keeled over backwards on his knees, like his spine was made of jelly.

That's one of the most devastating KO's I've seen in a very long time. Right up there with Ruddock v Dokes and Curry v McCrory.

Nasty KO that. Reminded me of Darnell Wilson's stunning KO a few months back, very similar but slightly more brutal for my money.

That Wilson fight should have been stopped way earlier what the fornicate was that ref thinking?

Yeh prob could have been stopped earlier but Nwodo was leading on all cards and had came back from an earlier knockdown, plus Wilson's corner threatened to stop the fight in the 9th I think if he didn't throw more punches. Nwodo was running on empty mind as was Grevor.

I just watched the whole fight and Gevor was exhausted - he was running on fumes from the 9th and it was just a matter of time until he just couldn;t continue.

I don't think that you can say it was an amazing punch, it's more the fact that Gevor was f**ked. A lot like Easman's punch that KO'd Williams...

I would like to know what the scorecards were, Gevor did ok the 1st half of the fight, it's only the 2nd time he's gone past 8 rnds and it showed.

Entertaining fight and worth a watch.

Scores were 98-91, 97-93 & 97-95 for Abraham.

Well, yes I'm sure that it didn't help him that he was exhausted, but it was still a peach of a punch and a BRUTAL KO, which was what the thread was about.

It pains me to think about Ruddock Dokes. The poor fella was obviously out on his feet after 2 or 3 heavy shots and really wasn't defending himself. I see to remember Ruddock really launching into the final one -- and it was because he had time to. Dokes wasn't covering and was standing there limp. Ruddock just lined him up, planted his feet, uncoiled his knees and twisted his whole body into a bomb that landed flush.

Awful.

Is it me, or are guys hitting harder these days? Of course, we all remember the big knockouts from yesteryear, but the brutal ones seem more frequent these days. It was only a short while ago when we had Cintron's effort.

Not as good as the Abraham KO but Tua has a good left hook.

Yeah just had a look and that was almost scary. Why on Earth did the ref let Ruddock load up on that last shot? Dokes was clearly out of it...

Had a quick look at Hearns v Duran the other day, that final shot, think it was the left hook? My god, Hearns almost decapitated him with that shot. Duran was absolutely banjaxed.

It seemed like every shot that Hearns hit Duran with was staggering him in that fight, and Robert had a fantastic chin. Hearns power at 154 was pretty frightening.

Can you imagine Hearns v Julian Jackson?

Hearns was electric that night. One of the all time best performances.

Ok, ok, it was a right hand!

Hearns rorated his entire bodyweight into that shot, it was so powerful, it shows what a great chin Roberto had, that he was actually conscious. You can see him struggling to get up, before his body lets him down, most people would have been completely sparko.

Hearns hit him with some almighty shots that night, even his jab was shaking Roberto up.

I think the combination of that heavyweight's reach and Tommy's blinding handspeed would have been too much for Roberto on any given night.

...or how about Hearns sickening body shot knockout of James Schuler ?

A typical Hearns razor-sharp shot, this time to the pit of the stomach, and Schulers legs just collapsed from under him. This is another one to see on Youtube if you can get it.
