Good interview with him in todays Boxing News.

Good interview with him in todays Boxing News.

Duane Bobick looked fit and healthy in the photo taken for the interview in this weeks Boxing News. The interviewer commented that he looked healthy and his voice was clear.granberry wrote:Bobick had a terrible accident working a factory after he stopped boxing.
He came close to losing both arms.
Hope he is doing okay now.
Joe, that photo is not a current one.KOJOE90 wrote:Duane Bobick looked fit and healthy in the photo taken for the interview in this weeks Boxing News. However he is on disability benefits due to the horrific injurys to his arms (papermill accident in 1997 where he nearly lost both arms). In the picture he is in a fighting pose in I assume his home or office and his arms 'look' fine and I cannot see any scars.
But apart from that he is healthy and does some work as a personal fitness trainer. He is since about 2003 the deputy commisioner of the Minnesota Boxing Commision and he is also a Golden Gloves official.
I was refering to the photo of Bobick as he is now in this weeks Boxing News it is a large colour photo.granberry wrote:

It is from when Bobick was an amateur.

Bobick also beat Larry Holmes as an amatuer by DQ. I have seen film of Bobick losing to Stevenson at the Olympics but has anyone here ever seen their first fight when Bobick won on points?HomicideHenry wrote:Of all the "great white hopes", Bobick was arguably my personal favorite. As an amateur he defeated the legendary Teofilio Stevenson,
