Yep. He gets a full prep for this fight at his right weight so no excuses this time.

Paderna will be ready fore this one. Willy will have to work hard for the win.

No excuses. Kickett obviously another level to Paderna.

I thought Paderna could catch him with something but he has a terrible habit of fighting with his chin up in the air and his hands low. Spelt disaster in the wash up. The kid is dissapointed with his showing.

Full marks to Kickett...he took advantage and got the job done in style.

Kickett looks good as Paderma had a fair record and was in shape.Willie started with more aggression this time.Lenny Zappa has a good right hand but questions remain about his chin and his defence. Apart from his usual cut eye Matt Paulley continued his improvement in his last few fights. The fight he wants with Eddie Delic would be a close one. Vic was understandably cautious for a few rounds but finished well. Cutabuy was tough but not top notch. Vic's next fight might reveal more.

i read something on sportsnut.com.au saying that vic had said himself he was very troubled by this guys resilience.. surely he has said something which wasnt understood properly and they misquoted him, i didnt watch the fight but i can only imagine him severely belting that bloke and not copping much

Vic looked extra cautious, He had Catuby in trouble a few times and dropped him a few as well, Vic was hurt in the 7th by a punch to the temple but never lost a round and controlled the fight.

I dont really know what the answer is but maybe the thing that makes vic such a good boxer is his all attacking style and seeing as though he hasnt dedicated much of his career to defense it might be a relatively new thing for him.. Possibly if he found the right balance he could be borderline unbeatable?

Don't write Catubay off as a nothing. He has got a heart the size of a planet and got Vic with some good shots during the fight, but was outclassed by a champion class fighter. The referee stopped the fight and saved Catubay from himself. His heart would not let him give up.

In that regard it reminded me of Katsidis v Amsnot except the fight was actually stopped...

Paulley actually surprised me with how good he looked. I remember him being pretty average but he looked quick and selected his punches well, it was a good showing for him. A fight with Delic would be great. The fact he cuts so easily could cause major problems for him though...

I was really surprised with how quickly he ended it, I thought for sure the fight would go the distance.

It was good to hear Willie say that he wants to step it up NOW. Whether or not his handlers listen to him is yet to been seen...
