Harris has done nothing to make me believe he can beat Witter, I'm thinking a 117-112 to Witter.
I actually have a bet going at the moment where I've done 10 fights, first 3 have won, Witter and Morris are the next 2

I wouldn't cross the road to watch Junior Witter.

A lot of people are saying this is a close fight, I have to agree with that.
What I cannot bear to hear is whoever the winner is you can nail your house money, and life savings on him calling out Hatton or Mayweather and that is a joke.
This fight is between 2 good boxers beyond their better years who would have no chance against either Mayweather or Hatton. Witter would have done 3 or 4 years ago but for whatever reason in my opinion he has not progressed one little bit. Look at his record, look at the struggles he has had then tell me Witter is at the top of his game and deserves a place anywhere in the top 15 pound for pound best boxers in the world.
Anyone who wishes to argue just look at what the boxing fans think of this fight, just look at what the general public think of this fight, if people genuinally thought Witter was top notch and going places then why oh why is it not in a bigger arena and why oh why if Witter is that much in the forefront of peoples minds isn't the fight a pay per view fight.
Its not because when people sit down and think rationally about this fight, they are a little intrigued about the outcome after they will probably use the DVD recording of the fight to send them to sleep in the future.

Looking forward to the fight, and it is a difficult one to call - More so because I am unsure what Harris is really capable of.
I'm edging towards a Witter victory, in a less than dazzling points win.

witter stoppage is more likely i think.

his awkwardness and sharpness of punch will bum harris out.

Piss poor post Albert
If Witter beats Harris then he is top dog at 140 (whilst Hatton is fighting at 147), so why shouldn't he be calling out the likes of Hatton and Mayweather, everybody in Witters posuition would be doing the same.
We all know that Witters style of boxing doesn't appeal to the masses and he hasn't got a BIG following, but that doesn't make him any less of a boxer. Admittedly he's had some poor performances when the opponent is sub-standard (who hasn't??), the fact remains that despite his small following and that hes the president of the who needs him club he has still carved out a fantastic career where he has done things the proper way.
I hope Junior wins impressively and lands himself a BIG fight, he will cause any fighter at 140 and 147 humungous problems.
Really looking forward to this one...COME ON JUNIOR!!!!

Why does he have to wait till after the fight when he can do it now.

He's talking about everyone except Harris in that it seems. Talking about Hatton, Ree's, Mallinaggi, unification etc.
That single article has me tempted to put 100 down on a Harris KO. You know that old saying "If you want to make God laugh, just tell him your plans."

witter's always had a good chin.
Has Witter's chin really been tested enough at the top level to say that confidently though? He ran as soon as he tasted Zab's power and the biggest puncher he's faced sine then it N'dou and IMO Harris hits harder and is a better fighter than him.
Not saying Harris will stop him but I don't think you can write it off that easily.

just bet £25 on Harris to win by KO any round - 6/1
got a free bet for £25 for joining extrabet.com, so £325 return for me when it comes in

The Harris that knocked out Urkal could put Witter in defensive mode, or maybe even stop him with those fast, straight punches. The Harris of the last few fights may well get beaten on points in an uninspired display from both fighters. Hopefully Witter proves me wrong and impresses this time out. He's due a good performance.

Personally I can't see Harris stopping Witter, because you won't hit Junior if he doesn't want to get hit
The odds ain't great, but I've had to back Witter to win by KO rounds 5-8. Harris is getting KTFO!!!!!

Well said!
Witter knocks Harris out.
Haris will find out that Witter is very awkward and very strongt at 140.

Can find nothing I have stated in my post that is piss poor.
Witter v Harris is a dull fight. If it were that exciting why has the particular venue been chosen?
I could go on. Whats the point.

I also expect this to be a horrible, boring fight, unfortunately. Witter was entertaining at one point, but his last few fights have been truly horrible to watch.

Search and Chambers,
You 2 identified my post as a poor one. Looking at the other replies it seems the majority are in agreement with me.

Witter reckons his speed will win him the fight, but is he actually faster than Harris? Harris is pretty quick with his hands and is younger.

Both fighters being over cautious with Witter looking to land the big one from time to time - Harris late on with more than Witter can handle and a KO.

Who else is saying that Witter shouldn't call out Hatton and Mayweather, if he beats Harris? Most champions call for the BIG fights, why shouldn't Witter? I'd be more pissed off if he didn't want to test himself against the best
Who else is saying that Witter isn't a top class fighter because he doesn't have a BIG following and fight in BIG arena? Personally I don't mind watching Witters style, he's something out of the ordinary and pretty unique on the World stage.
