Witter's web war with Harris

'The Hitter' makes his second world title defence against former WBA champion Harris (New York/Guyana) following an exchange of hostile emails with his opponent.

Witter (Bradford/Doncaster) claims he got the better of 'Vicious' Harris over the internet and is confident of doing the same on the Hennessy Sports show which will be shown live on Sky Sports.

"He found my website on MySpace and left a couple messages for me through it after his fight with Juan Lazcano," said Junior.

"I would rather not get into a slanging match with him, but if he wants one then I will win that as well.

"His messages weren't that original or funny. I didn't go on MySpace to do that sort of thing, but I sent replies back in the end and I've not heard anything since from him.

"He can say whatever he wants, but it won't make any difference on the night because I'm keeping my belt.

"We are both boxers, not brawlers, so it will be technical but I think my speed will win on the night.

"Once he starts feeling my power, he won’t have an answer, just like with the emails."

The Hennessy Sports show in association with title partners GoldenPalace.com will be screened live on Sky Sports and also features the English Super-Flyweight Title fight between Robert Nelson and Andy Bell in an all-Yorkshire encounter.

Also in action is top domestic lightweight Lee Meager, who meets Hungarian Laszlo Komjathi in an international ten round contest.

Junior's MySpace page can be found at: myspace.com/juniorwitter

Two messages on Witter's myspace site justifies the headline, website war.

The fight must be selling that well they have to scrap the barrel to come out with this sort of shit.

whatever search nice to see you back (sarcasm in the extreme) wonder if you will be here on Monday if Junior gets beat.

try and keep it civil hey see you have already been letting yourself down by posting some sick things about Hatton already.

Witter's style Is under appreciated because fans prefer Gatti style like fights and Witter's just not daft to fight like that.

I like Spinks style too.

you'll get more action in one of hattons fights. watch his bear hug wrestling tactics. it will turn you on, or maybe it already has since you are such a lover of hattons manly style.

Yeah

Course, Hatton bear-hugged Castillo to the ribs, that's what happened.

I don't need to listen to someone else describe a fight to know what I'm seeing.

Whatever you say, far more people are prepared to turn out to see Hatton fight than Witter, I guess they must all be blind eh?

Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion, or is it Ledermans?

Then watch Judah versus the greyhound chase me chase me Witter.

Or if you have sleeping problems practically any other Junior Witter fight, certainly in the last couple of years, your sleeping problem would instantly cured.

Mind you there is the consolation if you are a Witter fan, you will have no queues to get tickets, they are readily available, you can have them in batches of hundreds if required. But not thousands, venues are not booked which are big enough for that.

Before Mayweather though Witter's lack of popularity didn't justify Hatton not fighting him though.

And I repeat before Mayweather.

when you take the blinkers off, it's the common opinion mate. rewatch hatton vs castillo and urango clinchathon.

ricky "hook n hold" hatton.
Common to whom? Who is this great conglomoration of people who find Hatton boring?

Why does anyone talk to Search hes obviously a troll.

To be honest I dont find Hatton particularly interesting though in a none 50-50 fight. His style doesn't captivate me as its pretty predictable

"The war to be the biggest bore!"

I'm pretty sure I saw that on a fight poster for this somewhere.
