Any more news on this anyone? Hoping to catch it on the Kessler undercard but it's been a bit quiet in recent weeks.

Abrams wrote that Macca was "mildly optimistic" that Franky can deliver the fight on the Calzaghe-Kessler undercard.

Come on, you have a main event as big as that and there's seldom a good undercard.

Macca-Cunningham I think is a main event for another day. Would love to be wrong though.

That would make that a triple world title bill right?

You never know, Cunningham is low rent, so it could happen.

Still, Haye-Mormeck is the main fight at cruiser. I can't blinking wait for that.

If Cunnigham vs Macca vs Cunnigham and Rees vs Salita happen on this bill, would it go down as the greatest card in the UK?

Two unifications fights - involving the #1 and #2 Super Middleweights, and Macca is fighting (IMO) the best Cruiserweight champion out there. Yes, Mormeck is the man but I believe Cunnigham beats him (strictly my opinion).

Then we have Salita who is an acceptable voluntary title defence for new champion Rees. Might not be the greatest, but definately not the most underserving... plus with him being Jewish could bring in a fair amount of following and history with this fight.

With Bradley Pryce (possibly vs Concepion) on the bill - looks fantastic if it all comes off.

Hope Setanta does it justice.

would be a great fight for a nundercard but Warren hasn't much of a reputation for being a friend to the fans and its got to be worth a lot more if he has two fights as opposed to one.

I disagree with that in recent times, Josh. One of my criticisms of the Warren deal post Sky is that there have been too many "big bills", bills with excellent undercards and not enough regularity amongst the shows. This had two problems for me as a TV viewer.

1) ITV couldn't do these big shows justice, say with only a 3 hours slot to they could only show 3 fights live tops... Not the 5 or 6 worthy of the TV fights that Warren has put on.

2) Too long a gap between shows, not building the sport "momentum" amongst its new TV audience.

In the old Sky days, the recent Cardiff bill (Macca vs Braithwaite) would have been shown live in two (probably smaller) venues. One would have been headlined by Macca, the other Rees vs Mbaye. I think for the TV viewer this would have been better... more of the boxing would have been shown, and it would establish a momentum that a bill every 3 months doesn't offer. However, for the boxing fan in the audience - this would have been worse. Sure there have been some dud bills during his ITV tenure (Calzaghe vs Manfredo) but no one can deny he hans't been live gate fan friendly in terms of the amound of bouts per card.

I think the IBF are enforcing Cunningham-Huck. BN says Cunningham says he's fighting Huck next.

IMO Huck - as raw as he is - will beat Cunningham in Germany. I'd love to see that happen.

Its quite odd, cause I think Huck is quite well schooled - especially comparing him to Enzo Mac.

That's what I heard from him as well. As for the fight, I'd like to think Cunningham will win, on fair score cards.....

The guy who runs the site I do some writing for is a friend of Cunningham's. He said that Macca's people have never been in touch. Looks like Enzo is just being told porkies by Uncle Frank. Not surprising when you think back to how long he strung Hatton along with magical promises.
