There seems to have been a deafening silence regarding Dennis Hobson's part in the Hatton camp. Has he been sacked?

I do not know anything concrete, but I suspect Hobson's role in the Hatton camp in not as major as it were. I wouldn't be surprised if Hobson was no longer in the camp or that he'll soon be out of it.

GBP are involved in Hatton vs Mayweather, so I reckon Ricky could wind up signing with them sooner, rather than later.

Simply put, I don't think Hobson can compete with the likes of GBP, & as we all know, it's about trying to secure the best, most lucrative deal for yourself.

I'd like to know the lastest on Hobson/Hatto situation?

Think he still has Matthew Hatton fighting in a couple of weeks

His contract ran out and is hasn't been renewed. He was increasingly becoming of less and less use to the Hattons so no point keeping him on really. To be honest other than the fight with Maussa I think he was just a promoter in name only becuase Pellulo did most of the ground work in America.

Don't think they have fallen out as such and I'm sure there is probably a gentlemans agreement that if Ricky fights back in the UK he will be involved again although how that sits with Warrens settlement with Hatton (i.e. he promotes his next fight in the UK) I don't know.

Other than Clinton Woods there aren't too many other headliners on Hobsons book so it will be interesting to see where he goes from here. You could argue that the Hatton soujourn has probably cost him a lot of time and money for ultimately little reward and from a position where his stable looked to have the potential to close the gap on the likes of Hennessy and Warren he's now probably a lot worse off.

He still has a few fights left on his deal with Setanta as far as I know but other than Woods he doesn't really have anyone to fill those dates.

Hobson has Woods and Kiko Martinez. Martinez can fight Dunne again, or he can challenge WBA champ Caballero. I hear Kiko was offered a shot at the big lanky guy.

Hatton says he wants to make up for the ticket allocation farce by coming back to the Uk for a fight. Who would he go with...Witter promoter Hennessey?? Old pal Warren (is Warren still suing his dad?)?? Or Hobson, who he gets on with...

Dont think Dunne will be in any rush back in with Martinez and Martinez against Caballero is hardly going to sell many tickets in the UK. Woods is really his only option when it comes to headlining a card in the UK.

Maybe we'll see a trend, with Hobson maybe getting impressive foreign fighters that world title hungry TV will buy into. How about making a go for Jackson Asiku, etc. They won't draw locally but impressive imports can appeal to the TV crowd.
