Claude Abrams already said in his last editorial (or was it the 1 before) that Macca-Cunningham unification isn't happening yet.

Here's whom Macca will be facing, according to Per Ake Persson on BS.com, on the Calzaghe-Kessler undercard.

Team Palle writes in a press release that cruiserweight Johny Jensen in light of a clear and impressive win over Louis Del Valle on Friday in Horsens, will get a shot at WBO ruler Enzo Maccarinelli on the undercard to Kessler vs Calzaghe November 3.

Great matchmaking by SN. Really looking forward to this fight. A win against this guy will definitely solidify Enzo's claims as the No. 1 Cruiserweight.

Note that he hasnt beaten Del Valle yet, who to be fair has only lost when hes stepped up.

Lou De Valle is absolutely shot to shit. He was fighting on the "Undercard" of the Mike Tyson exhibition with Sanders and it was very sad to watch... I was a fan of this former World champion, but he lost a shut out to a distinctly average fighter and lost every second of every round.

It was like Michael Ayers vs Jon Honney - it really was.

I wouldn't expect to see Jensen have too much problem vs Del Valle.

I'm absolutely stunned that Jensen is a 6 year pro.... he has been guided so slowly. Have to say, everytime I have seen him - he has looked OKAY (nothing special or remotely world class) but his opposition has been pretty dire.

I expect him to only have been a 2 year pro, only once be scheduled to fight for 8 rounds. He'd probably beat Gunn, but at least on paper Gunn might have had a punchers chance... Jensen isn't even a puncher.

Johnny Jensen is not as bad as Bobby Gunn, i have seen him fight a couple of times on undercards and he is ok. But i definately would have preferred Macarinelli to be fighting Cunningham. At least they didn't resurrect Jesper Kristjansen out of retirement for a rematch!

Re the WBO/IBF unification.

Anyone think that Macca and Warren will want Cunningham to beat mandatory Huck?

Cunningham is no kind of attraction, so it's likely he'd come for a nice payday to Wales, where they'll all surely come in droves to see Macca.

Whereas Huck's promoters may not even want unification if they become IBF champ and in any case have a fair amount of clout.

Glad you mentioned Huck, thats a great fight for Enzo if Huck does well and he certainly should - As for Jenson, I am not over excited because it should be another comfortable win for big Enzo rather than a tough match.

Macarinelli will want to finish this early. Hot domestic rival David Haye did Jensen in two rounds in the Copenhagen Box Cup in 2001 (at heavyweight).

Jnsen had the best fight of his career earlier tonight when he won a clear UD over Del Valle - a change of trainer have really helped him.

A change of trainer probably did help him.

But so to did his 40 year old opponent who had upto yesterday fought only twice in three years and had lost one of those.

If Del Valle won a round then its a bad performance by Jensen.

I had Jensen winning 118-109 (Jensen got deducted a point for a low blow), so it was pretty lopsided, at least on my card.
