i would opt for colin lynes on the domestic scene, to come back from being written off,to win british and euro in six weeks was a fantastic achievment.

Why 2006?

I think we tried doing a vote for this (although it might have been for 2005)... Wasn't that successful.

Cannot remember everything that happend in 2006... Ted Bami certainly a contender.

Yeah, good one.... For the Lacy performance alone - the Bika display probably rubbed the gloss off his year for me... but yes, 2006 was Joe's year.

From a domestic level point of view - Bradley Pryce?, Bami?, Jamie Moore kept winning?, Kevin Anderson? - maybe a few others.

Kevin Mitchell had 4 or 5 very good wins, got the Commonwealth title, not enough to be number 1 tho.

Enzo Mac enhanced his reputation a lot, esp KO of Dominguez. Bobby Gunn farce wasnt till this year either.

Definitely wouldnt put Pryce in that list, everytime hes come up against anyone half decent, until Small, hes got beat

Osie Duran beat Jamie Moore and Colin McNeil, Andrew Facey beat Matt Macklin.

He did turn his career around from a pretty disasterous 2005.

Ossie Duran and Andrew Facey arent great tho, prob not even British Title standard. I wouldnt say Pryce had a good year just cos he beat an average fighter who previously beat someone better

How about Froch?
After having trouble with that Aussie he took care of Magee & Dodson. Which were his best wins until Tatevosyan in 2007.

Tsifiwa Munyai had a not bad 2006, 2 points wins, TKO to win the C'Wealth title, TKO to defend it, followed by two wins in 07, including a repeat stoppage of his TKO defence in 06

Facey aint that great granted, but I think Ossie Duran is of British title standard. He beat the British champ (when he was still the British champ), he beat the #1 contender for the British Welter title (well he won an eliminator), also beat Jonathon Reid and Gilberto Reyes (who was world ranked at the time) in 2006 in the states - Duran has lost his last fight.

Not sure how this resume means he is not of British title standard. The only reason he wasn't a British champion is cause he is illegible to fight for the title. He beat Moore in a title fight when Moore was British champ. Had he been British he would have walked away with the lonsdale.

Not saying Duran is world class, but he is domestic title class and surely proven it enough.

true what you say - he is based here now AFAIK, but his first two fights of 2006 were in SA

I'd go Bradley Pryce I think, curious question in September 2007.
