Herbie hide is about to have his 5th fight of the year non of which have been opponents who are any good in my oppinion, however what does everyone think of the come back? Myself I don't think he has come back for his health and he probably aint making money from these fights so I wonder why he hasn't really stepped up?

Does anyone know if he is still with Hennessy?

Also I hear he is still not allowed back in the country cos of Bail anyone know more about that?

With his power Herbie could knock any cruiser out, but with his chin he also stands the chance of being knocked out himself.

It would depend on how the German's take to him... If he becomes like their adopted son (ala Urkal, Erdei etc) then the money will be good.

With Hide at cruzer I wonder if he could stand up a bit better appart from vs Haye and enzo.

My understanding is that the opponents to be defeted makes more money than the person trying to build there record.

No, he's not with Hennessy, he's with a German outfit.

Not sure what his legal situation is.

At least one of his opponents (Polakovic) was OK, having been the distance with Mark Hobson. Not a world beater, sure, but a decent yardstick, at least.

He's the mandatory for the EU title, so should get that fight soon

yes quite, didn't one call the other out earlier in Haye's carrer. Possibly pre Thompson and pre haye working on his jab with lennox Hide may have had a chance in a who lands first type fight but Haye just has too much now and Hide too little.

Polakovic is very good defensively and Herbie knocked him out, which Hobson couldn't do.

Not least for his power, Herbie still has a title shot in him - far more deserving than Gunn for example. My mind is blank as to who Arena-Box have in their stable cruiserweight-wise, but maybe Herbie could be given the EU title, which will set him up for Cantatore, with the winner ending up not far from a title shot.

He's had a few fights in quick succession to build confidence (as if it needed it) and to create a bit of a buzz.....at heavyweight he gave away too much size....it figures that he should be successful at cruiser, but it isn't as simple as that with Herbie....doubts will always surround both his chin and mentality

only a matter of time before things catch up with the herb.

like to see him get in the wbo ratings and fight enzo though.

can't see warren wanting to give herbie a shot though.

Is Hobson still a sports network fighter? I know the rematch with Keeton is on an FA show, but that was a purse bids job - did Keeton join FA after the Swaby fight? I cannot find who either are affiliated to.

I wouldn't mind seeing Herbie in with either.

Let's see if Herbie can get past Fragomeni next, if they do indeed meet for the EU belt. Fragomeni will offer cagey resistance for the early part of the fight and we all know the latter stages of a bout aren't really Herb's territory.

He's got to step up the level of competition soon.

Terrible opponent, terrible atmosphere - even the Herbie chant didn't sound right!

Did Herbie even actually land a punch? Even he looked disgusted with the whole thing.

im of the same opinion, i did not see a punch land, surely this is another ali liston, the ghost punch. a repeat of boxing history...fantastic !!

I hope he wins a couple then gets knocked out by Haye or Enzo.

I've watched him fight through my fingers for his last 10-15 fights, waiting for him to get sparked. It's uncomfortable viewing at times....

I like Hide, If it weren't for his chin he would be an excellent fighter....but you could say that about alot of fighters.

I agree, Herbies a dangerous man. He can knock opponents over without hitting them
