Personally, i feel Hatton has made Mayweather look like a real prick this week. Mayweather always does a good job of this himself, but Hatton's class has really emphasised it IMO. Hatton i believe has come out a big winner from this press tour and i reckon he may just have gotten to Mayweather a little. He's not used to being made to look like a fool, i reckon Hatton made him look just that all week.

1 up to Hatton IMO!

Its difficult to tell what the yanks are thinking though, there all a bit mad over there, probably they love Mayweathers trash talk!

I have heard quips here and there that Hatton's bottle was the reason he kept his mouth shut at the face-offs. You would have to be a fool to think that IMO, Hatton was ice cool all week and never showed me any sign of nerves.

I had worried that perhaps Hatton may be over anxious due to nerves in the opening rounds of the fight that may cause him to make mistakes early, but he looked ice cool all week and i'm now sure he has absolte'ly no fear of facing Mayweather whatsoever. I actually think he is probably even more confident in his own chances now that he has faced off with Mayweather.

Both fighters will be up for the fight more than ever, the press conferences are just to sell the fight

Floyds not exactly intelligent but I think hes got under Rickys skin and has shown more confidence mainly because he has supreme self belief. Floyd getting in Rickys face made Ricky look a little bit disconcernced but maybe its just me. I think Ricky swearing was him losing control a bit. But Ricky getting wound up may make him even more focused or it may make him make more mistakes in the ring

Dude, you're talking out of your asshole, Hatton was completely in control of that interview, he's not rattled in the slightest, he made Mayweather look like a complete and utter tool.

The bit where he said "Floyd, will you stop touching my dick ya pooof" had me in frigging stitches, I bet floyd never heard that at a press conference before.

Hatton should be a stand up comic, he's such a naturally funny guy, and with his propensity for chins, he is the heir apparent to Bernard Manning.

I'd have loved to have seen the shock on the Sky Sports News producers face when Hatton piped up with his 4 letter frenzy

Mayweathers annoyed Hatton all week and Hattons just give it him back in a more British way i.e.with wit and humour rather than rambling on about bitches and fornicating you up in some semi-coherent manner.

These press tours are boxings equivalent of the wrestlers backstage rant at the camera before he goes out to 'fight', its a good thing as well IMO. I know Floyd turns it on for the cameras and probably acts like abit more of a prick than what he actually is, but even when I know this it still adds to the interest (for me anyway).

Most of it starts off as pantomime at the beginning of the week, the fighters know thay have to put a show on, but I reckon Floyd has narked on Ricky abit this week. Which is understandable, but it will also make it all the sweeter when Hatton knocks seven shades of shit out of him 8)

Saw the pantomime after the press conference with Floyd & Hatton facing the public in Albert Square.

Guy from local radio introduced Adam Smith.
He waffled for a couple of minutes, then introduced Hatton & Oscar de la Hoya who both came on stage with promotional girls holding umbrellas so they didn’t get their suits wet.

The interviews were the usual bland stuff.

Great fans, going to be a great fight etc

Here's a great clip of Mayweather taking pelters from the Manchaster crowd. Mayweather tries hard to pull of a gangster rap style swagger but like always, fails badly with trying to live up to this bad boy image he thinks he has down cold!

He looks like a complete dink, he hasn't got a clue what to do with himself.

You can see Hatton and Graham laughing in the background clearly thinking "what the fekking hell is he doing out there, what a twat!"

Mayweather's gangsta act is pretty shite it has rto be said, he looks ridiculous when he starts dancing around.

I was shocked a DLH's performance... stopping and starting. He seemed very nervous by the whole occasion.

One thing that surprised me is the size... I know Hatton is a bit fat at the moment, but he looks a fair amount bigger than Floyd. When he was face to face vs Tszyu - he looked fatter than Tszyu but you could see they were around the same size... Hatton's going to be stronger than Floyd.

Another thing is that Hatton is completely at home - he doesn't seem nervous at all. Perhaps cause he has faced bigger punchers than Floyd. He doesn't seem as nervous for this fight as he was even for Castillo - is that a good or a bad thing I'm not sure, probably good.

I'm still going for Floyd here, but I think Hatton is winning the psychologicl battle handily.

Anyone know in the various press conferences has there been mention of the winner facing the promoter?

You wont see any nerves about the fight at this point, it's far too soon and must seem like it's never going to happen, as far as the fighters are concerned.

Safe to say, both look a lot more confident when on home ground. Rick looks clearly relieved to have a bit of home support today, after what must have been a surreal week in the USA.

And yes, Floyd looks a right plonker on stage there - think he was more than a bit nervous facing up to that lot, and rightly so.
At least Hatton only had a usualy respectful American audience to put up with in NY and LA.

Hatton showed no nerves on that huge night in Manchester against Tszyu, when there was a real possibility that he could've been up ended early by a Tszyu thunderbolt. He wont be nervous getting into the ring with Floyd after that.

Just watching how Hatton fights I don't think there's any fear of another man in him. Hatton's a cold, calculating fighting machine and doesn't fornicate about. I bet he can't wait to get hold of Mayweather and beat the crap out of him. Whether he can or not is another thing but I bet he gives Mayweather the fight of his life.

All I will say, is that Mayweather looks ready to fight now. Hatton looked like he'd been to the pub and was chomping on gum to hide the smell of Guinness.

As for todays performance I have never been a big fan of boozy fans chanting obscenities at sportsmen. Sure Floyd is no angel but they would have done it to any other fighter too. Complete lack of respect in my book. The same guys who boo the national anthems of foreign fighters and cannot keep their mouths shut during minutes of silence.

TBH like I said both are professional fighters and both will do their job on Dec 8th

But I'm serious that Hatton seemed to lose his cool/control by swearing, it just seemed unprofesional as if he lost his cool and it didnt seem like the cool composed Hatton that Ricky usually is in the public eye. I thought he looked somewhat rattled after the stare down on the other side of the pond. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Nevermind the soap opera Golden Boy are trying to sell with the phycho bable bullshit. I don't buy into the good guy bad guy bullshit its a fight and the best fighter wins. Everything else is to sell the fight.

Hopefully the trash talk will fuel each of their inner fires but to be honest I think they'll both stick to their gameplans.

Yes you are right of course.

But it did provide the perfect antidote to Mayweather's pretentious gangsta rap persona. Seeing him make a clown of himself in the process was priceless.

Saying Americans lack sense of humour is a little unfair. Sure some of them are a little off key, but the same can be said of a fair few English people.

The USA have produced some great stand up comedians and many funny TV shows over the years.

I think the reporters reaction is pretty damn funny. Ricky just goes into manc lad when in front of his adoring [bitter] blues fans. I thought Mayweather was pretty good tbh, he was never going to look great in front of that lot but he still seemed like a dangerouse man.
