Best Damn Knock Down or Knockout

What is the best, wildest, most insane, wicked knock out or knock down you ever seen in a fight? For my money the Ketchell-Johnson knockout was viscous as hell, looking more like a flying tackle/clothesline as Johnson flew over Ketchell, falling to the canvas himself for a second.

Best damn knockdown I ever seen? Hard to say, but one knock down that stunned the hell out of me was during the Marciano-Cockell fight, and Marciano throws this forearm smash across Cockell's face and the Brit does a watutsi spin and falls face first into the second rope and just hangs there like a slug, fortunately for him the bell rang right after that saving him from further punishment.

Too many to mention them all but Sugar Ray's knockout of Gene Fullmer was spectacular, one second Fullmer's menacingly stalking, the next he's flying accross the ring. Classic.

As for a knockdown Donald Curry's left hook on Milton McCrory has always stuck in the mind.

Honourable mention to the following:
Julian Jackson vs Herol Graham
Jersey Joe Walcott vs Ezzard Charles
Lennox Lewis vs Hasim Rahman I&II
Ken Norton vs Randy Stephens
Bob Foster vs Dick Tiger

Here's three:

Marciano vs. Walcott I - Truly stunning; worthy of all the hype.

Julian Jackson vs. Norris - Norris somehow managed to get up, but man, was that a brutal shot. Jackson actually put Norris to sleep on his feet then woke him up with the next couple of punches!

Witherspoon vs. Some white fighter - I have only seen clips of this but the overhand right Witherspoon lands on this guy is straight from out of a comicbook. The show a close up of the guys face as he's laying on the canvas. Its scary how contorted his face looked. Anyone know which fight I'm talking about?

I'm almost ashamed to bring up Lupe Pintor's knockout of Johnny Owen. It ended in Owen's death.

Recently I was surfing around on YouTube and watched it. Pintor's right is just a quick shot -- not a big haymaker like the left Sam Peter KO'd Jeremy Williams with. But it's eerie (especially knowing the eventual result) to see how Owen goes down -- just kind of teeters and then falls straight back, unconscious upon the moment he's hit.

I know this thread was about the "best" knockouts. I'd rather say this was a "tragic" knockout. But if you're talking about brutal, I suppose this has to be in the conversation.

Tommy Hearns final knockdown of Roberto Duran. One of my alltime favorites.
Azumah Nelson's uppercut vs Pat Cowdell
Marvin Johnson's KO of Victor Galindez

Teddy Reid's 3 punch combination that fatally injured Emiliano Valdez. All 3 of which were hard enough to score a knockout.

Dempsey-Willard and Dempsey-Firpo are another two good ones. There's a lot of knock downs in Baer-Carnera. Baer-Schmeling is also a great KO.

Bruce Curry`s left hook KO over Monroe Brooks was a highlight reel shot, as was Myung Woo Yuh`s stoppage over Benedicto Murillo. Tua/Ruiz is another personal favourite of mine, never get tired of seeing that one.

As knockdowns go, Earnie Shavers flooring Larry Holmes was a pearler. Holmes drops as if shot, somehow rises at 7, & goes on to stop Shavers in the 11th. Stunning recuperative powers from Holmes, although to be fair Shavers was just too tired to follow up.

Robinson-Fullmer II & Shavers-Ellis were already mentioned, but they're standouts for me too. Cooney-Norton was hellacious, like something out of a Rocky film.
