IMO, Pryce is improving with each outing, and the fact that he's more serious than he has been in the past, is showing in his performances. Pryce should thank Enzo Calzaghe a great deal, as I feel Calzaghe has shown Pryce the way forward.

Enzo is a very disciplined trainer & has his boxers in top shape. Even the fighters say there is no slacking whatsoever allowed & that Enzi is tough task-master, the way a trainer should be.

Anyway, Pryce showed good patience last time out against Small, waiting for his chances 7 taking them. Bradley didn't appear to waste too many shots either.

It's obvious Pryce has talent, but I feel he's imoved a great deal inder Calzaghe & working with other solid fighters in the gym. How far can he go in terms of achievement at 154lbs?

He's living proof of how valuable a tough ring education can be, although I have to say he was matched overly-tough at times and has teetered on the brink of becoming a trialhorse more than once, only pulling it back by winning when he wasn't supposed to.

How far can he go? I'd love to be wrong, but I don't think much further. He trades on heart primarily, and that can only take you so far. Best I can see for him is a European or WBO shot which ends in him losing with credit.

He impressed me against Small (who i picked to win), Pryce seems to have learnt when to absorb a few shots , and when to mix it.

He should have far to much for Concepcion on the 6th, as long as Pryce hasn't underestimated him.

The EBU title was won recently by Zaurbek Baysangurov, who looks a good young boxer going by reports, but that would be a calculated risk for Pryce, who could secure home advantage.
But Pryce has got to be focused on taking out Concepcion first, there have been alot of boxers that have slipped up on the night when an easy win is expected.

Im sure Jamie Moore is set to be names Zaurbek Baysangurov's mandatory. A fight between the two should take place by feb / march 2008. Providing Jamie wins I'd assume the British title would become vacant, and Pryce would go for that?

Pryce is looking good, lots of skill but he's Euro level at best.....I take him to paste MC inside 7

No, I dont think so. I think he takes the European #1 place, not WBC #1 place.

Thought thats sounded odd, isn't like #11 in the WBC rankings.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pryce rematch with McDonagh - that would be a good indication of how far he has come on.

Steve told me he was mandatory for Forrest winner earlier today but has since mentioned to me about the EU instead so I have put that in the interview just now....

Just looked at the ratings for EBU and Moore is No1, so should get a shot soon.

Hopefuly purse bids will go out soon, fight around Jan, Feb, march - all going well. Cant see Maloney / VIP not winning the bids and having the fight in the Manchester area.

Saying that his last fight was on the undercard of Klitchko Brewster, Universum with a bid, maybe? A trip to Germany to retrieve the title wouldnt be so bad.

This Baysangurov looks good... think there might be a decent chance of winning the purse bids (wasn't Bayram an univesium fighter?). Sounds like a tough ask for Moore.

i had a big bet on McDonagh when he beat Pryce at 4/6...think Pryce would reverse that result if they boxed again..I dont think he will get any futher than the level hes at now tho.....

To answer the title of the thread - he has done well getting this far - no shame in that - he is going no further - well matched fighter.

Would prefer Pryce-Moore, but Pryce-Rhodes would be good too.

It's been a nightmare getting him matched at this weight.
This level of opponent should spell out his intentions.
Won 3 of his last 4 in the States since losing to Pryce.
Of course he's also got the defeat of Moore on his record.

Excellent fight, and a serious test of Rhodes' aspirations at this stage.

Rhodes deserves another shot if he keeps winning, but that's the last time I'll mention the word shot, I promise :)
