Subject; Has Wellington been given the Boot?

It's gone very quiet on the Wellington front. Has he been given the boot from Hennessy Sports due to his constant boring and unimaginative press releases, his anti-SN bile or his complete inability to properly publicise Hennessey shows or even attract any sort of crowd to their marquee fighter, Carl Froch's fight's in his home town?
Which is it?

Has he gone? Easy enough to find out.

If he has, then its a bit harsh - he is only doing his job. Getting the boot for putting in too much effort is a bit harsh.

Dont think so? Just assumed the pressers had been reduced by public demand. Personally thought he did an okay job for hs, he only does what he's asked to doesnt he?!?

Isn't that the excuse they used at Nuremburg?

Give him the press office job at Sports Network.

In the words of Kurt Angle, 'It's true, it's true'. True that he's left, I mean, not necessarily that he's been sacked.
Good lad is Jason and he did a very good job re press releases, etc.
Good luck to him.

Yep. Good luck Jason in whatever you're doing.
Is Jim now the main contact?

So basically, it's all Bollocks!
More idle gossip on Boxrec...business as usual.

Well if he has gone, I doubt very much that is due to his employer being unhappy with his services.
I had dealings with Jason on many occasions, and always found him a joy to deal with. In addition he wrote lively press releases, which is saying something as press releases tend to make turgid reading at the best of times. He also designed some top notch posters, some of the best boxing posters I've ever seen.
Good luck Jason (if you're reading this), and all the best in pastures new.

Wellington's press releases bored me, but I suspect but cannot say for definite they were given approval before release, so was he entirely to blame for the tedious and predictable nature of the press releases??
With regards to Jason Frost, when he wasn't near certain characters, he was a good bloke.
It's not good to gloat over someone not having a job anymore but is that the case? - or is it simply the character "Wellington" being out of the way and a new one surfacing?
But with regards to sympathy etc etc will I eff give Frost any - he knows like everyone else what boxing is like - once you are hooked you are f ucked!!!

Don't know Jason, i'm sure he is a good bloke, but the majority of Wellingtons spam was tedious

If boxing was a car it would run on speculation so who are any of us to judge?
And if it was a Hot Air Balloon it would run on Sports Network Press Releases

Jason wasn't sacked he left to do other interests, he was helping on friday with the press, he had to do 3hrs of traveling each day to get to work and back. I thought he was a very good press officer.

I have to agree - Jason Frost was a bloody good press officer and was dam good for Hennessy Sports - nope I am not being sarcastic either.
Putting the boxing banter and the b*llocks to one side that goes on in these forums - Frost was good - but those press releases were tedious, but how much was that down to Frost or what he was being told to do?
And just for the record I am big enough to say Hennessy is a good promoter too, got his marketting and PR stratedgy spot on - just don't like him as a person and feel very justified and qualified to say it.
I genuinally wish Frost all the best.
