Tony Bellew made an impressive debut in Nottingham with a second round victory over Jamie Ambler.
Even a last-minute change of gloves, which occured when Bellew was already in the ring, couldn't put him off his stride.
The two-time ABA champion, who goes by the nickname of The Bomber, forced Ambler to take a count within the first minute of the fight.
He trapped him in a neutral corner before catching him with a right hand.
In the second round, Bellew backed Ambler on to the ropes and landed around 20 unanswered shots, forcing the intervention of the referee.
The 23-year-old is hoping to follow in the footsteps of John Conteh, another light-heavyweight from Liverpool, who won British, Commonwealth, European and world titles.
