What you guys think of him? seen him at weekend there and its the third time i have seen him, you think he could get to british title level??

One to watch in my opinion - Very effective fighter, and is learnig the pro game very quickly.
Gilmour (still with him?) needs to continue what he has been doing and keep him fighting regular.

capable of winning Brit title without doubt IMO.
very effective. I watched his opponent (is it Durgahed) the Mauritian lad - he was in an excellent with Sean Hughes about a yr ago (who has fought for Brit title). He was not expected to win, to be honest I don't remember the result but it was fiercely competetive....also think he beat?? or gave a very good ight to Jamie McKeever who I believe has also operated at C'ship level.
So for Appleby to win like that really was very good indeed, looks like there is substance to him. And also came across excellently in the interview which is first time seen him interviewed. He seemed respectful, confident in his ability whilst acknowledging he is still learning, and quietly focused,...which is bad news for the opposition.

I know him from the amatures, seen him and his brother fight loads of times, but that was only third pro fight i have seen of him, His bro went pro same time as him as was actually as good if not better than paul but he has stopped for some reason??
Ohh and heres an intresting fact for you, His uncle billy appelby who runs a pub in edinburgh, beat Ken buchanan in the amatures.

got some boxing pedigree in the the family then eh? not that it makes a bit of difference, lots of people win titles and probably are the first people to box in their family.
in a similar vein i thought Ronald Hearns ring intro was a bit naff the other week.....Ronald "the apple never falls far from the tree" Hearns.....oooh
not exactly "the baddest man on the planet" is it

Good fighter, bit early to tell if he is going beyond domestic - Thats twice I have seen him now and I like him.
