Herbie Hide

Is now ranked 15 by the WBC and 8 by the WBO. I'd love to see the Norwich nutcase in with either Enzo or Haye.
Can't see your logic there, it takes less than a second to throw a punch. Haye, Hide and Enzo are all monstruous punchers whoever lands the BIG bomb first winsSyntax Error wrote:but I doubt his chin could stand up their bombs long enough to deliver his own.
I think they have better chins than Hide has.Chambers2 wrote:Can't see your logic there, it takes less than a second to throw a punch. I think they both have better defence than Hide. Particularly with Haye's jab now I've said it before on hear you can tell he worked on it with lewis it realy looks like it hurts the other guys.Syntax Error wrote:I think they have better chins than Hide has.Chambers2 wrote:Can't see your logic there, it takes less than a second to throw a punch. I believe that Haye & Macca have a better chance of surviving a Hide bomb, than Hide would have of surviving theirs.
Herbie hits hader than both of them and is a better fighter than both of them too.Syntax Error wrote:I think they have better chins than Hide has.Chambers2 wrote:Can't see your logic there, it takes less than a second to throw a punch. How come you go out of your way to have a pop at Fight Academy in nearly every post, KO Artist ?? (John, is it?). What's the story morning glory? As a regular reader of this forum your posts have become rather tiresome.KO Artist wrote:Herbie hits hader than both of them and is a better fighter than both of them too.Syntax Error wrote:I think they have better chins than Hide has.Chambers2 wrote: Can't see your logic there, it takes less than a second to throw a punch. He would knock the pair of them out, but Warren and Maloney wouldnt let him near them.
Same goes for Roman Greenberg, Hide, a cruiserweight, would knock him out in a round, but Greenbegs management are terrified of letting him fight anyone with a heartbeat.
I'm not really bothered about fight Academy either way, and certainly do notsalg them off on anywhere near every post. By the way it is John, John O'Meara. I did go to a couple of FA shows but didnt feel they offered value for money. However, they were not shows that Greenberg fought on. In fact I have only been to one of his fights where he boxed quite well, incidentally.Ben Carey wrote:How come you go out of your way to have a pop at Fight Academy in nearly every post, KO Artist ?? I'm intrigued as you used to love name dropping about them previously and were a regular attender of Hobson's shows. What happened? Someone has clearly put your nose out of joint if you're slagging them off on a thread about Hide and Haye, neither of which Hobson currently promotes.
I think Haye would be too accurate for Hide but its conceivable that Herbie could jump on Enzo from the off and take him by surprise. I really hope Hide continues his comeback.
Thanks for the reply John and I echo your sentiments concerning Greenberg. Re: FA, I don't have a lofty opinion of them either but seldom state it. In contrast my perception is that you are critical of them in the majority of your posts which is what intrigued me.KO Artist wrote:I'm not really bothered about fight Academy either way. I'm not going out of my way to slag anyone off. I feel that Greenberg falls into the category of a small HW who could conceivably fight Hide. Greenberg appears overweight, and I reclkon his best weight is below 16 stone.
Dont get me wrong, I feel Roman has talent, but his level of opposition has eroded his main asset.. SPEED
On current form I feel Hide beats him easily, but if Roman can up his opposion for a few fights an lose 7 - 10 lbs it could well be a different story.
Why are you so offended, Its only an opinion after all? Do you really feel that Greenbergs level of opposition has helped hone his skills, or erode them? Do you beleiev that Greenberg, on current form, would beat Hide
I think people get a bit too nostalgic when talking about Hide. When was the last time he knocked out anyone approaching the quality of Haye and Maccarinelli? A fighter on the way up? Oh that's right, probably never. Herbie looks great when he can bully an opponent and if you just saw that first round of the Vitali fight, you'd consider him a major threat. Luckly though we all know what happened to him when he was almost hit by a jab in the 2nd. Hide is probably a threat but has been campaigning in such a low class he makes the infamous Roman Greenberg appear like the ambitious young heavyweight Secondsout would have us believe.KO Artist wrote:Herbie hits hader than both of them and is a better fighter than both of them too.Syntax Error wrote:I think they have better chins than Hide has.Chambers2 wrote: Can't see your logic there, it takes less than a second to throw a punch. well then let's see if him being a CRUISERWEIGHT with power & speed will make any career difference...Lenny wrote:I think people get a bit too nostalgic when talking about Hide. His record since Klitschko in 1999 is appalling

Enzo and Haye would be far too much for Hide but as you rightly say he always has the punchers chance to cause the upset.Mr Gunn wrote:with his opponents hes fighting, has he any ambition left.....cant see him ever gettin in with Haye or Macca, probely get sparked by a nobody then dissappear, always has the punchers chance tho....
