and he isnt even a natural middle weight

this is awful - if no suitable oppo can be made then duddy shouldnt fight

in an ideal world it would be a proven class opponent. Prince arron is a good young boxer, but is a light middle.

he stepped up to area level and got stopped off that hype job from down south

and when he stepped up to commonwealth level he got stopped

this is a terrible match, duddys management should concentrate abit more on his career and less time on whether boxrec have him down as irish/british etc

No lose situation for Aarron, credit to him for accepting at this kind of notice. He has balls for a 19 year old.

Shame the original guy is out. He was never in any danger of beating Sturm but kept coming and would have told us a lot more about Duddy.

If you put stock in the rankings for this site, Arron is not much of a drop off from Alcoba. Sure, Alcoba has that one fight at a high level, but before that he didn't really have any more experience than Arron. And it certainly looks to me like Arron is a middleweight - he hasn't fought as a lite middle for almost a year and given his young age I'd have to assume he never will again.

Geard Ajetovic would have been a great replacement, but I doubt Duddy's people would have been willing to take that risk since he's tougher than the original opponent Navascues.

You have to ask. WOuld Ryan Rhodes have taken the fight on 4 days notice following 1 round blow out last week, having been prepared lean and ready to go?

Alcoba would have just brought durability to the table. He was game enough but was totally outclassed by Sturm, the way Sturm carried him off the jab all night was terrible. He should have just strung together a 3 punch combination and put us all out of our misery
