Off-Topic: London Painting/Decoration Costs

Have been struggling to get proper quotes on this anywhere. I am getting an apartment painted at the moment. It's a large one bed - approx 70 sq meters, in central London. I am getting the walls, ceilings & all woodwork painted in all rooms - kitchen, bedroom, living room and two bathrooms. The current paintwork is fine, just not in the colours I want (I have just bought the place). I have already bought all the paint for the painter and he's staying there overnight until he gets it done as I'm still in my rented apartment. His prep work has taken 1.5-2 days. Anybody know how much the labour should cost in total? I think it will take him 7-8 days, probably working late each day too. Should I work out a quote on a cost-per-day basis or what? Any ideas would be great. I am guessing it could cost anywhere between £1,200 and £3,000?

Note also that all the paint is Farrow and Ball and is likely to need three coats.

Get him on a price or he will drag it out. Do not do it on day rate. He will drag it out.

Start to finish, should take 4-5 days, anything over £1800 is dear. Over £2000 is a rip off.

I can give you my mans number who does loads of work for me in London, he does mainly commercial but some resi too. His prices are reasonable, he is clean and his work is of a good standard. Ive been using him 12 years, so he can be trusted.
