Who is Gavin Rees's opponent on the undercard of Calzaghe vs Kessler?

Is he even fighting?

I doubt they're putting him and Salita on the undercard are they?

Warren would be looking to build Rees' independent now wouldn't he.

Mind the Calzaghe bill is a huge opportunity for US exposure, who could well take to Rees.

I thought the WBA ordered Rees to fight Kotelnik by Nov. 30th. Maybe he is´t on the card at all.

I think US TV would be interested in screening Silata vs Rees as an undercard fight. There is a bit a marketing possibility in Salita.

I'm sure I read somewhere that HBO are only screening the Calzaghe-Kessler fight. Obviously, if there's an early finish, they might find room for Maccarinelli/Rees/ etc.

I wouldn't be too hopeful though, if I were on the bill. The Calzaghe fight is going out prime time, it's not like SKY's Vegas bills on a Sunday morning, with 3 hours to kill before the main event.

As with all the Calzaghe fights, or SN productions in general, we are being fed far worse undercards than what you'd expect on a quiet night in the York Hall. I remember the two worst undercards I've ever seen have been fights with huge numbers of people in attendance. First was Hatton-Tszyu when they moved the scheduled Harrison-Brodie fight to the previous night, look at the state of this:

If they are looking to feed Rees an easy defence or two (it wouldn't be like SN) they really are going to have to trawl the depths of the division to find one. Maybe one of those National Champions or maybe...........Terry Marsh? doubt Fwank will want to be ringside for that!

Rees made everyone proud when he beat Mbaye..a truly great night and that can never be taken away...

Sadly Rees is about the only champ in Boxing history that Salita could beat, and if it wasnt for Jewish money and influence he wouldnt even be getting this shot...

Still, thought Kotelnik had to fight the winner or Mbaye-Rees...

yeah, those undercards were hard to sit through.

Boxrec have taken Rees off the Calzaghe bill and Warren's site doesn't have Rees scheduled to fight either, so I guess he isn't fighting anyone then.

Don't know, not sure I particularly care - cause they aint going to be anything special.

Here hoping that something is pulled out of the hat and it will be Herbie for Enzo Mac - but doubt it. I think Warren could afford a relatively risky, non risk, late sub for Enzo Mac.... What do I mean late sub - NOTHING was signed with anybody. Nobody officially pulled out with an injury or something.

With Rees though its different, no-one is sure of his potential yet at World level - cause Mbaye appeared to have little ambition. Mbaye rematch perhaps?
